[PATCH]: Remove HAVE_CYGWIN in favor of NO_IPPORT_RESERVED_CONCEPT
Hi, I've sent that patch once already but it seems more or less forgotten in the tumultuous days of the latest vulnerability. It adds a new define NO_IPPORT_RESERVED_CONCEPT which can be defined on platforms not supporting the concept of "privileged" ports only accessible by privileged users but which allow everyone to use these ports. This patch removes some Cygwin dependencies

ssh hangs or gives Segmentation fault
Details of installation attached. Effect: when I build and test (with full path names) ssh in the openssh... directory, everything works fine. When I "install" it as per attached file into a test-directory and run it from there, there are 2 phenomena: either it just hangs, eating 96% of CPU or it dies with a Segmentation fault (this is what happens most often) Help needed

Build failures: nanosleep on Solaris and AIX 4.2.x
Hi All. The recent changes to scp caused build failures on Solaris and AIX 4.2 which showed up on the tinderbox[1]. I mentioned the first to djm in email yesterday but I'm posting after finding the second, in case anyone else has seen similar problems. Solaris' nanosleep is in librt (or libposix4 in older versions) which is not linked. Adding them to configure works fine, however ldd

Build errors on AIX 4.2.1: nanosleep
Hi All. There are still build errors for scp on AIX 4.2.1 due to lack of nanosleep (which you can see them live and in colour at [1]). The attached patch fixes this by using the equivalent nsleep function on AIX if it exists and nanosleep doesn't. The patch is mostly the same as the AIX portion of the previous patch for the nanosleep issue, the major difference being that the #define is in

AIX cleanups: includes and arguments
Hi All. First the questions: Is there anything objectionable in this patch? Is AUDIT_FAIL_AUTH appropriate for the "Reason" field? Now the details: attached is a patch that changes some of the #includes for AIX. It moves the AIX-specific includes to port-aix.h and adds includes that contain the prototypes for many of the authentication functions. The idea isto fix some warnings.

I am trying to build openssh-4.3p2 portable source under Cygwin running under Windows XP SP2. bug in rsync write-devices patch
All, I tried using the write-devices patch from rsync-patches. Thanks for creating it. I hope that and copy-devices become part of mainline. When I tried to copy from a regular file to a device, with a command like rsync -write-devices -inplace rsync://10.10.10.1/share/drive.img /dev/sdb3 I used to get a 'rsync: ftruncate failed on "/dev/sdb3": Invalid argument (22)'

The following is just a simple 'if ANON|SHARE is broken, disable compression'. We don't have time for fancy stuff until we have time for long term testing. I have one friend of mine testing this. [solaris 7 patch] resubmit and extended ...
Okay, everything as the first large one I sent today, with a few extra mods. _PATH_MAILDIR is only used in sshd.c, that I can see, so moved the #ifdef from config.h.in to there. several files had __progname defined in the middle of the code, as well as at the top of the code, so cleaned those out. all the fixes for u_int32_t -> uint32_t and u_int16_t -> uint16_t, plus added appropriate

kernel oplocks
I am a little bit confused about the kernel support for oplocks. man page of smb.conf: ---------------- For UNIXs that support kernel based oplocks (currently only IRIX but hopefully also Linux and FreeBSD soon) this parameter allows the use of them to be turned on or off. This parameter defaults to "On" on systems that have the support, and "off" on systems that don't.
