Silently Wait for DTMF Input
Hello! I would like to call a number (e.g.35), and when i press a secret code (12345), it should jump to my voicebox menu. On this page http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+cmd+background i found something about "Silently Wait for DTMF Input". In my case it wouldn`t be silence. It woudl just play the away message. Now how can i include such a secret code to my background funktion? I

Distributed FAX - How to best complement asterisk ?
Hi list, I'm evaluating a private telephony scenario of about 20 locations - 300 phones, 50 FAX machines. Initial overview points to the installation of asterisk at three locations connected to the PSTN via ISDN PRI. All other locations, small by themselves, would get SIP phones managed by asterisk, since there is good IP connectivity between all sites. Now on to the

suggestion for SWAT README and man page
Hello, In 2.0.0, neither the SWAT README nor the man page mentions that nmbd (or is it smbd) must be running on the server for SWAT to work. -- Tom Schutter (mailto:tom@platte.com) Platte River Associates, Inc. (http://www.platte.com) BLOWN UP BY EIGHT BROKEN IRC SERVERS. SINKING. U-301.

Suggestion for improving syslinux man page.
I would suggest putting this syslinux web page info near the top of the man page. I was using debian, which has all the linux images being linux.bin. So, to make my own boot disk, I thought I would just copy bzImage to the floppy as linux.bin. Big mistake, if one does that it will not work, and one gets output like: - 0400 AX:0208 BX:0200 CX:0002 DX:0000 etc. Just renaming

Suggestion: Man page clarification
scp, when copying directories with the "-r" flag, uses the same "trailing slash" syntax as rsync, i.e., if a trailing slash is given on the source directory, it will copy the contents of that directory to the destination, instead of the directory itself. rsync has a special section in the man page that points out that this is actually expected behavior, it would be nice if

Minor nitpick on openssh: man pages
On a plain vanilla Solaris 8 install, the man page source WILL NOT generate readable manpages. It just ends up as one big paragraph. I've been using the cat pages as a workaround, but it would be nice if the man pages would format with nroff -man --jeh Asst. Man Pages
OpenSSH 3.7.1p2, Solaris: The man pages are converted by the awk script mdoc2man.awk. But some commands are not recognized and remain as such, but without the leading dot: .Bk -words .Ek .CM (is .Cm intended?) The script should be enhanced or these commands avoided. I also tried the perl script mdoc2man.pl from OpenSSH 3.5p1, which gives exactly the same results.

rsync-3.0.8: problem with installing man pages when using seperate build dir
Hi all, there is a little problem when building rsync outside it's source dir with installing the man pages: they are not found and therefor not installed. The attached patch fixes this situation. xen-utils-common has pod not man pages
The xen-utils-common package doesn't have the pod2man converted pages. I took at look at debian/rules but couldn't figure out how to send an appropriate patch. The best I could do was just send you this email to let you know.

Man pages for Linux distributions
Given that R is being written under the GNU GPL, a corollary process would be sufficient documentation of R (in packaged distributions) that explains HOW-TO install, use, and extend R. An example of documentation that is extensive is Perl which has documentation under the MAN pages in Unix,Linux as well as in POD (Plain Old Documents) files. The key to R advocacy is documentation. RFC: boilerplate text in driver man pages
All, With AsciiDoc, we can make use of some macros to cut down on some of the repetition in the driver man pages. I don't want to go overboard on this, though - I know that drivers aren't meant to be invoked directly by users anyway. I propose that we put all of the gory details into the nutupsdrv(8) man page (mostly there anyway), and just add a few basic options to the

Help with AsciiDoc man pages
I'm looking for a little bit of help with the man page conversion. So far, about a third of the man pages are converted, and I think it would make sense to have a second or third set of eyes compare the output to be sure that we are not losing any information in the conversion process. In the tarballs generated from the AsciiDoc branch on http://buildbot.ghz.cc/public/nut/ you will find the

Bug#391606: xen-utils-common: doesn't ship referenced man pages
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 3.0+hg11624-1 Severity: normal Hi, the executable /usr/sbin/xm refers to the man pages xm(1) and xmdomain.cfg(5). As far as I can see, Debian doesn't ship the respective upstream man pages available at http://xensource.com/ . Since Debian packages should ship man pages for executables, it would be a good idea to include those. Thanks, bye, Roland --

Patches for Xen 3.1 packaging, changes for pygrub and man pages
After working a few more days with the Xen 3.1 packages build with my patches I've found two bugs. The attached diff contain the fixes - it's a full diff against xen-3.0 rev 391 and xen-common rev 388; they are not yet synced with Guido Trotter's patches for Xen 3.0.4 now in trunk. The bugs fixed: Pygrub did not work due to some well known issues and Python library pathes.
