Xprint support in OpenSSH?
Hello, Does OpenSSH have any plans yet to extend the existing X11 forwarding support to include Xprint - the XOrg standard for printing? Documentation can be found at http://xprint.mozdev.org/docs/ The only change required to have Xprint support is to forward the X print server connection referenced by the XPSERVERLIST environment variable similar to the video display server referenced by the

where to report modesetting DDX bug?
Video and input drivers Subgroups and projects on gitlab does not list modesetting DDX, presumably because it's not packaged separately from the server. Where's the right place to report a modesetting DDX bug that manifests only on an NVidia GPU? Directly against the server https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver? Here are some particulars: How can I tell whether this should be

SSL connection reset by peer
Hi, I am running a dovecot server and have set up an external monitoring, where every five minutes a login with SSL on port 993 is done. I usually get once a day an error "connection reset by peer - SSL connect", which goes away until the next monitor is executed. Initially I thought that raising the mail_max_userip_connections in protocol imap in 20-imap.conf to 256 should do the

Yum update wants to overwrite newer app package
This is probably a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway (I do that - you all know... :-). Due to a bug I found in OOo 2.0, I moved to using OOo 2.3, back when I was still running CentOS 5.0. Now that I have upgraded to 5.1, yum wants to update my OOo from 2.3 BACK to 2.0. Is it possible to get yum to recognize that 2.3 is newer than 2.0, or should I just exclude OOo from the updates? Thanks.

oodraw command line usage
I use R to create .eps graphics and then use oodraw to convert them to .emf versions. (One reason I do this is that OOo tends to re-size .eps files and I haven't found a way to stop it or change it once the graph is resized. .emf files are not distorted by OOo - fortunately.) I use a command like: > oodraw filename.eps & The gui opens and then I select .emf and do an export. I

[ANNOUNCE] xorg-server 1.4.1
Suspend your disbelief, it's 1.4.1. Better imperfect than never at all, I guess. Contains a few security and input fixes, some memory leak fixes, and a few misc bits. git tag: xorg-server-1.4.1 http://xorg.freedesktop.org/archive/individual/xserver/xorg-server-1.4.1.tar.bz2 MD5: 0d638b6857408bb2e564e0c7b772d9a1 xorg-server-1.4.1.tar.bz2 SHA1: b5a020f6a5cc4b16296dadbc9c82073201d7d01a

IMAP Timeouts
Hi, from time to time the IMAP login times out ... my external monitoring says "connection reset by peer (SSL)" and Thunderbird tries to connect forever. After a short while everything returns back to normal operation. The system resources are plenty, there are no error messages and no greedy background tasks running. I read a little about tweaking imap-login - but all the default

Environment set on PAM module is not visible to user
We're using an internal PAM module (Linux) that sets a few environment variables using pam_putenv (on pam_sm_authenticate). In version 3.6.1p1i such variables are visible to the user (as expected), but since 3.7p1 they are not... Is this the expected behaviour? Thanks in advance, Jose ____________________________________________________________________________ Jose A. Rodriguez
