nfs question
Hello! We have central ldap for users, idmapd.conf configured on every machine and users' home folders on nfs, mounted by automount on several machines. After the last OS upgrade we notice that permissions on some files (not for all users) are corrupted: For example: -rw-r--r-- 1 4294967294 4294967294 45 Nov 11 21:20 hostlist drwx------ 2 4294967294 4294967294 4096 Jun 27 2012

Thoughts on arrays and generic functions
Working more on my cluster class, I can see other things coming up. I''ve ended up creating custom functions to perform basic array-handling tasks (like ''join'' and extracting a single element). I''ve also had to create a template for /etc/hosts because I can''t use the ''host'' type and iterate over an array. I know Puppet is trying very

a bug? (PR#968)
--T4sUOijqQbZv57TR Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Dear R, I would like to report what I think is a bug in R. I am running R within emacs on a Digital AlphaStation. See the version information at the end of my R session for details. I also attach a copy of the file that is read in the `read.table' command. Here's my R session, with a few

Fopen upsmon.pid - no such file or directory - Nut 2.8.0 built from source
I've built NUT 2.8.0 from source. When the nut-monitor runs: fopen upsmon.pid fails. I'm running as root, upsmon has root:root permissions as well as the other daemons and .conf files. I've tried configuring with and without --prefixpath --prefixaltpath. Is there something I am missing? Please see attached. Dan -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

[PATCH] allow user to update changed key in known_hosts
Hi list, I use ssh a lot and I often need to connect to hosts whose host key has changed. If a host key of the remote host changes ssh terminates and the user has to manually delete the offending host key from known_hosts. I had to do this so many times that I no longer like the idea ;-) I would really like ssh to ask me if the new host key is OK and if I want to add it to known_hosts. I talked

Getting two notifications of nocomm-timer expired when USB cable is pulled from the UPS
NUT 2.8.01 When I pull the USB cable from the UPS, I get two notifications of the nocomm-timer expired. The first notification is in the proper sequence, the second notification occurs after 'commok' occurs. Seems somehow that upssched-cmd is getting a second nocomm-timer expired delayed.
