LDAP functionable? ldap.c does not compile on Solaris 2.6 /SWAT bug?
Hi, Is there anybody who succesfully compiled 2.0.4b INCLUDING LDAP support "--with-ldap"? And on Solaris 2.6 (2.x)? I first had configure run with also the NISPLUS option, but didn't want that after all. I had a lot of problems trying to get Samba accepting connections anyway. That compiled oke: there's a little bug? in the SAMBA source somewhere however, because I always get

smbtar problem
I was using smbtar to test backing up an NT server, everything works fine except that for quite a lot of the files it has an error downloading them(probably 2/3 of them actually). All it says is : Error reading file \dir\dir\file. Got 0 bytes Didn't get entire file. size=533, nread=0 I could see this happening if the file were opened exclusively such as the paging file, but to my knowledge

Printing to samba server doesn't work
Well, not like it should. I can capture a printer with the "net use lpt1:" command, but I would really like to be able to print to any one of the three printers in my printcap. NT gives me the error: "The parameter is incorrect". I attached the error message screen below, in .png format. This worked for the last printer I had. All I changed was the printer and the

x11 forwarding problem on solaris
Hi! I am having problems using openssh-3.8.1p1 on sparc-sun-solaris2.8 to connect to another sparc-solaris or x86-linux machine with X11 forwarding enabled. After connecting tot the remote box if I start emacs, type a few characters and then try to select the text with the mouse emacs crashes. This reproduces reliably on a number of solaris/linux machines. Here is the output of ssh -v

Hello Thanks for your response. The platform is lynxos. However when I add --with-ldflags=-lcrypt I get the following error: WS5000# ./configure --with-ssl-dir=/usr/local --with-ldflags=-lcrypt checking for gcc... gcc checking for C compiler default output... a.out checking whether the C compiler works... yes checking whether we are cross compiling... no checking for executable suffix...

Issue while Running SSH from a Windows Service
Hi All - It seems to be an odd scenario. I have a simple ssh command which establishes connection with a UNIX machine and executes some commands over there. When I ran the command from command window, I was able to successfully run them. In reality I wanted the ssh command to be invoked by a windows 2003 service. I tried to debug the ssh command while running from a service and I get the below

[fdo] Ssh service interruption of freedesktop.org
Hi admins, thank you for maintaining useful development resources. But I'm in trouble. Please help. I and some developers are unable to use ssh login over 24 hours. Is there a intended service interruption? Or some problems are lying? I and some developers could slogin to freedesktop.org before the problem had occurred. My local environment has not altered in recent days. my source address:
