Manuplating Queue
Hi, I am implimenting a solution for a radio station where by calls are first received by an attendant, who interviews the caller and then places the call in a queue along with some information about the caller. The radio presenter can then choose which call to pick up depending on those in the queue. My question is, how can it be possible for call to skip other calls in the queue and be picked

Working Xten, Asterisk, double-NAT configs out there?
All, I have my * box NAT'd with all ports forwarded that are SIP related (based on Wiki). I also have nat=yes, externalip=WAN address of firewall, internalip=LAN network of *. I have my Xten soft phone on a PC which is NAT'd behind firewall with ports forwarded. I have also followed instructions on Wiki for Xten. I can authenticate fine, and sip show peers shows my extension is OK,

NAT connections STUN etc
Hi all, Love tinc by the way. It's a great VPN. I'm having issues with 2 nodes always talking through an intermediate node. My set up is a VPS in a cloud somewhere that's running tinc and 2 other nodes - one a roaming laptop (always NAT'd) and the other a server behind a dynamic IP home broadband connection (Not NAT'd but firewalled). Neither the laptop nor the home

Log file usage ...
Greetings ... I have been give the task of either finding a way to stop people from deleting files from our Samba network, or as I suggest that would be less problematic, would be to log deletion requests. I know of the "Samba Recycle Bin" which I will be implimenting with the Samba 2.2.5 release which is just round the corner, but I was hoping that I might be able to impliment a

NAT'd Snom360 problems
Here is my setup: * is on a NAT'd subnet, but also has an externally routable IP address. I have a Snom360 that's external to this and behind NAT. The Snom360 can call other phones in * subnet (by their internal extension numbers) and voice is transmitted fine; however, when I attempt to check voicemail (or any * voice recordings for that matter) I can't hear them. The phone just

Windows XP changes IP of Samba to outside port!
I checked through the archives and I didn't see this one. This has been driving me absolutely crazy for months now and I finally tumbled to what was going on. I get hesitations of up to 2 minutes from some of our XP machines when printing to a printer on the Samba server. My first suspicion was that it was some kind of name resolving issue. I tried using the domain name of the Samba

Nested NAT'd subnet
Hey all, quick question: I have a server running Samba 2.2.3a which has two NAT'd private domains behind it (192.168.1.0/24 and 192.168.88.0/24). The .88.0 subdomain has a wireless AP/router on it (192.168.88.254) which also does NAT (the wireless machines are on 192.168.92.0/24). The router has the IP of the second internal NIC as its gateway; the wireless machines have the

Asterisk & SIP
Good morning all, I'm setting up Asterisk for the first time with no prior PBX experience. I'm following Andy Powell's 'Getting Started with Asterisk' (http://www.automated.it/guidetoasterisk.htm). This is my second time through that document - as I did something weird the first time and really upset it somehow - and I wanted to ask a few general questions of the list.

Howdy Folks, I'm working on implimenting centralized authentication for a mixed environment: - Samba(3.0rc4) -> Win2k/XP OpenLDAP User Store -> - nss_ldap -> linux/unix - FreeRadius -> Cisco/HP Networking Equip (My apologies if that doesn't look right for anyone) I have a functional ldap database (openldap-2.0.27-8), and I'd very much like to use Samba 3.x (been

User permissions
I'm trying to follow the tutorial on using rsync with ssh/cron. Implimenting the no password method. It says not to use root and create a user. The question is, if I am mirroring home directors how do I give this user the proper permissions? ----------------------------------------------------------------- This email message is intended only for the addressee(s) and contains information

v1.2.3 release candidate
http://dovecot.org/tmp/dovecot-1.2.3.rc.tar.gz I thought about doing v1.2.3 release immediately, but I think I'll wait about 10-24h first. So until then, testing this RC is appreciated and hopefully we'll have a good release this time. :) + Allow namespace prefix to be opened as mailbox, if a mailbox already exists in the root dir. - Maildir: dovecot-uidlist was being recreated

Grandstream GXP2000 Loses Connectivity
I have 20-30 GXP2000's connected to * over a T1 line. Neither end is NAT'd and there is plenty of bandwidth available over the line. The GXP's are 1.1.5.15, which is the latest. I have a problem where the phones keep dropping off of * and I get a "failed to register" message in the log of *. Sometimes they eventually connect and sometimes, I have to reboot them to

Forcing an ID on all mountpoints
I'm looking for a way to tag my live feeds via an audio announcement every 30 minutes or so using the Linux install of Icecast. Some of the feeds I control locally, and other feeds are from remote locations - so implimenting this must be as painless as possible for each encoding location. As of now, the best way I can think of to do this is by running 2 instances of Icecast. Allowing the

custom iptables rules
Hi, Is there a way that we can add custom IP-Tables rules in a nat'd physical host? I need some custom rules mentioned in physical host to access some services in the guest systems. Any hints on this? Regards, Kurian Thayil. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Firefly Client can't receive incoming calls
I'm having a problem configuring asterisk to send incoming calls to Firefly. I can make outgoing calls from firefly through asterisk without any problems at all. The firefly client does this when it's on the same IP subnet without a firewall, or from a NAT'd environment. Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong? Here is output from iax2 show peers: Name/Username Host

Wireless VOIP Keysets? Recommendations?
Any Recommendations on a "Good" Wireless Voip Keyset that works well with Asterisk? I would prefer one that is IAX2 as it works better behind a Nat'd Firewall.. But I am reaching out to you guys as you all would know what would work the best :-) ________________________________________________________________ Sent via the WebMail system at kotbh.net
