Still no joy: no X11 protocols
Hello,
I know this is likely to give me a brute force attack hit,
but the only thing anyone can accomplish by ssh-ing to my machine
is to provide me with a tunnel into your machine. So don't bother.
Anyway, my server machine is running this:
/usr/bin/ssh -X -R ${port}:localhost:22 -o BatchMode=yes \
-o StrictHostKeyChecking=no ${user}@${my_home_machine}
On my local machine:
ssh -vvv -X

Hello,
I searched through the mailing list archives here, at
securityfocus.com, at HP and google and have come up dry. Sorry in
advance if my search was not complete enough or I missed something but
I sure as heck didn't see anything.

Problem with Firefox and SSH/browser
Hi folks,
I have a problem, shame on me I feel as newbie, I cannot open Firefox
though ssh.
ssh server is 7.2 and ssh client (running Xorg) is Fedora 23. Firefox does
not open. I've tried a lot of methods, even adding xauth cookie, and for
example:
firefox --no-remote --no-xshm

tcltk, X11 protocol error: Bug?
Hi,
I am having trouble debugging this one. The code is attached below, but
it seems to be a problem at the
C-tk interface. If I run this 1 time there are no problems if I run it
more than once I start to get warnings
that increase in multiples of 11 everytime I run it. Here is a sample
session

fix() and edit() not working with Rcmdr and german LANG-variable
Dear Mailinglist,
I just set up an R 2.9.1 environment with Rcmdr 1.4-6 on Ubuntu Jaunty
9.04. As I'm from Germany my $LANG variable is set to "de_DE.UTF-8".
Now, when I open up Rcmdr and try to edit a new datamatrix there is no
edit window appearing:

Rcmdr X11 protocol error message
I am using R 1.9.1 with R Commander GUI under Windows at work, and under Linux Mandrake 10 OR at home. I am having no problems running R Commander under windows. Under Linux, though, the opening and sometimes closing of windows from R Commander produces identical and repetitive error messages (in dialogue boxes and mirrored in the console):

BadWindow : X or Wine or...
i tried running a couple apps in wine remotely, piping X to my
powerbook w/ OS 10.4.6 which otherwise works fine. thus i think this
is wine- or app-specific. i get similar errors (see below) in
different apps. on the surface, looks like bad window or pointer.
i figure wine can't find the right libs for display on the client... do
i just need a PATH to my the libs on my client? e.g.

X11 forwarding does not work as normal user
We installed openssh 3.1p1 on our Solaris 2.8 machine using gcc 2.95.2. During
the installation, we modified ssh_config and sshd_config to enable X11 and
agent forwarding.
In sshd_config, we changed the following line to read:
X11Forwarding yes
In ssh_config, we changed the following two lines to read:
ForwardAgent yes
ForwardX11 yes
Both files are set to permission readable

Hello, I am new at ssh, think it is a simple config problem, but have not
