Problem runnin rSymPy
Hi all, I'm having major difficulty using the rSymPy package this week, but I have used it without problems before now. Here is an example of what's happening: > library(rSymPy) Loading required package: rJava > sympy("var('a b c d')") Error in .jcheck() : No running detected. Maybe .jinit() would help. And I have no idea how to fix it. I Have tried re-installing

Runnin' Samba on a machine with multiple Interfaces
Hi Samba, I am sorry if this is a Newbie Question, But I am confused on what I read in the FAQ about this. What I have at the moment is a machine with Two net cards, one of which is purly a Snort interface, but due to a quirk in the OS must have a IP, the other is the network card. What would I have to put into smb.conf for samba to use only one network card? Not both as it is

NT user name doesn't match unix username when winbindd is runnin g
Samba team, I posted the following message on May 30 to comp.protocols.smb, but no one has responded to the posting as of yet, so I thought I'd try this email list. We are testing winbind and security=domain to authenticate NT users on our UNIX box in samba (v2.2.3a). Winbind is working correctly. Wbinfo shows users as domainname+username (we are using "+" as the

Bug#538683: Source format "3.0 (quilt)" allowed in testing/unstable
[ Same message sent in bcc to all remaining "FTBFS with new source format" ] Hello, the new source format "3.0 (quilt)" is now allowed in testing/unstable and having all packages buildable with the new format is a release goal (http://wiki.debian.org/ReleaseGoals/NewDebFormats). Thus it would be nice to see this bug fixed. If you want, you can directly fix the bug by

Newbe Question: Character Encoding
I have to present german umlaute as "?" on my webpage. When writing the text within the view, everything is fine - the characters are presented correctly. When I declare variable within the controller (e.g. via flash or as a list of values for a listbox) the text is displayed with the umlaute replaced by strange characters. I assume I have to adjust the character encoding somewhere.

Not showing up in network listing on Win 8.1
This may not be a Samba problem, but perhaps people here know the answer. We are installing some Windows 8.1 Pro computers. The servers running Samba 4.2.19 and 4.3.0 are not showing up in the Network display. Our domain controller is also not showing up. The Windows 7 computers are showing up. The domain controller is a Windows 2000 machine. I can manually map network drives to the servers

Dot plot with two grouping variables concurrently
Dear R help(ers). I'm an R-learner (about 10 hours now) trying to make a ranked dot plot where the symbols are coded by two variables concurrently. I'm trying to use Deepanyan Sarkar's book 'Lattice' as a guide but get the feeling it is a bit advanced for my level of understanding. I have three questions Q1. Right now I like to know how to get the dual coding working
