Does weight route and nat make sense ?
After many attempts to get weight multipath routing
to work reliable on my NAT firewall, I am beginning to
think, maybe it simply does not make sense to combine
them together.
I get various kinds of problems with this configuration,
especially with long-connecting session ( eg PcAnywhere ).
After various investigations, my conclusion is that
PcAnyWhere has a mechanism to "detect"

Inquiry:External USB modem and Remote PC Access?
Dear All
Please be informed that I checked for the presence of internal modem on my
CentOS server , as the followings :
#dmesg |grep -i modem
#lspci |grep -i modem
#lshw |grep -i modem
According to the output , it seems that my CentOS client does not contain
internal modem . So I decided to add external USB modem and make use of an
PCAnyWhere like application that enables for Remote PC Access .

Re: How to run Adobe InDesign CS2 - Ubuntu 8.04 - Wine
It seems like someone got InDesign CS2 run here: http://blog.foozia.com/blog/2007/dec/12/running-adobe-indesign-cs2-under-wine-linux/.

Placing eps files from R into Adobe InDesign documents: specifying fontfamily
This is a solution I am posting for a problem that others may have.
If you want to:
1. Place lattice graphics from R into an Adobe InDesign document, and
2. Use the export as eps function in R to maximize resolution (it is much
better than exporting as a metafile or bitmap), and
3. Use long strings of text in your titles or captions or to label your
axes.
Then you will have problems because:

Asterisk, HylaFax and Cardiff
I'm looking for a way to use our implementation of HylaFax on Asterisk with
Cardiff (an old installation of Cardiff document stuff).
Is someone doing that?
If no one has direct experience, is there a HylaFax client that emulates
WinFax print-to-fax?

hurdle to overcome that inhibits my switching totally to Linux is
pcanywhere. My job requires me to use it and believe me I have tried to sway

If so I would greatly appreciate knowing where I can get it. Thanks in

Problem with Save-As in Photoshop/InDesign on a samba server.
Hi,
I have a quite "interesting" problem on a samba server:
We (or better: our client) had a WinXP-system with a shared folder with
lots of data, which has been replaced with a dedicated fileserver using
Samba (on Linux).
All data has been migrated and everything seemed to be fine, however
Photoshop (CS3) and InDesign have some problems on WinXP:
- files can be opened and modified just

Symantec Miniview.exe
Hi: I get emails with *.FXM files attached that are faxes forwarded by
WinFax Pro. The message attached says to download Miniview.exe from the
Symantec web site which I did and it appears to run in under WINE except
that the faxes show up in black. Curiously when I laterally resize the
viewer I can view the fax but as soon as I stop resizing it the fax reverts
to a blaxk screen. I attempted to

Newbie...WINE setup?
Hi all, I just installed Linux-Mandrake 7.2 Powerpack Deluxe, and now I
am installing programs. First I installed AIM. That worked fine, but now
I want to install a windows emulator for my games. I have been told to
use WINE. I downloaded the RPM, opened it and hit "Install". But I got
some errors. Now you have to understand I know almost NOTHING about
linux. I am a very advanced Windows

Workgroup shows up, but not the computer
I am running Mandrake 10.0 Official PowerPack, I have Samba 3.0.2a and my
Windows XP PCs can see the Workgroup but there is no PC in the Workgroup.
However, I can type \\<computername> and see all of the shared folders and
printers. After doing this the Network Neighborhood still does not show the
computer in the Workgroup. Does anyone know why this is occurring and how
to fix it?

IPSec pass through
