Local software flow control
Good day time!
Using openssh with a serial attached terminal figures with a problem
with flow control when serial terminal has printer connected to it etc.
because ssh disables xon/xoff on associated terminal. At present ssh
client always disables xon/xoff on associated terminal device, regarding
of it's previous state, e.g. ixon and ixoff options were set or not.

SANE 2004 Free Software Bazaar
We (the NLUUG) are organising a conference in Amsterdam this September.
During this SANE conference we have reserved an evening for a Free
Software Bazaar. We invite many people to participate in this gathering
of Free and Open Source software groups.
The name "Bazaar" obviously originates from Eric Raymond's article: A
place where software developers gather. A unique opportunity

rhostsauthentication fails. (Or why I hate poorly documented software.)
I have a ssh enabled server and client machine (we'll call them "server"
and "client" respectively...)
They both have proper RSA and DSA keys, using protocol version 2 works
fine between them. (so ssh itself and the network is working fine)
However, I want to get something that will work with rsync without having
to manually enter passwords, passphrases, or enter such

ssh-proxy, a new approach to firewall software
Hi!
After 3 days of furious programming, here is the half-finished code of
the ssh gateway: http://www.linux.hu/~mag/openssh.prepared.tar.gz
[No, it isn't even quarter finished, but I am forking to background again,
and have no time/whatever to end it in the foreseeable future (except
if one says "gee, it _is_ nice, here is the cash for finishing it")].
There are logically two

Slightly OT: which hardware for CentOS file server (Samba, 2 To storage, 50 users)?
Hi,
The language lab from the local university has contacted me. They'd like
to have a low-cost file server for storing all their language video
files. They have a mix of Windows, Mac OS X and even Linux clients,
roughly 50 machines. The files are quite big, and they calculated a
total amount of 2 To of storage.
I'm not very proficient with hardware, meaning either I'm dealing

OpenSSH 3.5p1 and BSM for Solaris
Can someone help me get BSM working with Solaris 8 and OpenSSH 3.5p1?
I saw the patch here for OpenSSH 3.4p1, but do not know how to apply it to OpenSSH 3.4p1 nor do I feel comfortable modifying to work with OpenSSH 3.5p1:
openssh-unix-dev at mindrot.org
Is this patch needed to fix the BSM crontab issue only, or is it required for BSM auditing in general?

openssh-2.9p2 compilation on LynxOS
To whoever can help me,
I tried to compile OpenSSH-2.9p2 on i386-LynxOS. I
made a
# ./configure --without-pam --without-shadow \
--with-ssl-dir=/usr/local/ssl --with-pcre \
--disable-libutil --sysconfdir=/etc/ssh
Then,
# make
gave the following error:
gcc -o ssh ssh.o sshconnect.o sshconnect1.o
sshconnect2.o sshtty.o reonf.o clientloop.o -L.

Announce: OpenSSH 7.1 released
OpenSSH 7.1 has just been released. It will be available from the
mirrors listed at http://www.openssh.com/ shortly.
OpenSSH is a 100% complete SSH protocol 2.0 implementation and
includes sftp client and server support. OpenSSH also includes
transitional support for the legacy SSH 1.3 and 1.5 protocols
that may be enabled at compile-time.
Once again, we would like to thank the OpenSSH community

Recent OpenSSL vulnerability require rebuild of OpenSSH
We have OpenSSH built against a static version of the OpenSSL library.
Do the recent OpenSSL vulnerabilities necessitate a rebuild of
OpenSSH?
