[PATCH] New '-o' option to configure server or hosts from command line
Options given on the command line have precedence over configuration
from files.
This can be useful, for example, for a roaming node, for which
'ConnectTo' and <host>.Address depends on its location.

This patch is against stable branch. Merging this patch to the 1.1
branch is trivial.
I use this patch on my Debian for several weeks.

Ticket #282: omindex-assorted-enhancements.patch woes
I would really like to try out the features in the patch above. But I
can't ever seem to get the resulting omindex.cc to "make".
I tried updating to rev 10801 from the SVN then run /bootstrap but then
I seem to get errors compiling everything when I try and do "make" (I'm
using ubuntu 8.10).
So I thought I'd try an apply the patch to the latest stable version

~/.ssh/config permissions
Hi,
Working with apache-sshd I found that it forces ~/.ssh/config to be
owned by user without group/others permissions. It failed for me
within my valid openssh environment.
Within sources (readconf.c::read_config_file), I found that openssh
only enforces ownership by user and not group/others write.
When I opened an issue, I was referred to this[1] wiki page (not sure
who maintain it) claiming

Feedback regarding the ssh(1) Match directive
Hi,
I noticed the recent commit adding Match support to ssh(1). I look
forward to giving it a try, but I have some initial feedback based on
ssh_config.5 and an examiniation of match_cfg_line().
First, the "command" keyword could be a little deceptive. Although the
man page makes the use of this keyword quite clear, my initial
assumption was that the intent was to match against the

[patch 1/1] syslinux: add suport for com32 entries in the menu
From: Jorge D Cisneros <jorge.cisneros at hp.com>
Problem: The actual code only check for entries with kernel or linux, so this example will not work, this patch is to add support to gfxboot to detect the entry COM32 and use any module, in this case the module is chain.c32
Version: Syslinux 4.04
Example:
UI gfxboot.c32
LABEL boot_hd0
MENU LABEL Boot from first hard drive
COM32 chain.c32

[PATCH] gfxboot: add include and menu include support
Ubuntu CDs use multiple configuration files and the include directive as
well as gfxboot, so it's useful for gfxboot to support these.

[PATCH] PreferAskpass in ssh_config
Moin,
attached is a patch, which adds a new configuration option
"PreferAskpass" to the ssh config.
ssh{,-add,-keygen,-agent} will use ssh-askpass to prompt for passwords, if
this option is set to "yes", and if ssh-askpass is available.
Default for "PreferAskpass" is "no".
Pacth is against current CVS.

Feature request/EOI: Match interactive config?
Hey there,
I often want different behavior in my ssh client depending on whether I'm logging into an interactive session or running a remote non-interactive command. We can see at, say, https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/499562/305714 that this isn't a unique wish, and existing solutions are kind of baroque. Typical reasons to do this are to immediately go into a screen or tmux session; for

[PATCH] Make "ssh" try different configuration filenames
To provide a bit more backwards-compatible (which is nice for eg. NFS-
shared /home directories) try a few version-number based names.
Eg., for "OpenSSH_7.3" the strings that are tried after "~/.ssh/config"
are "_7.3", "_7", and "".

ssh's readconf.c debug() goes to /dev/null
Hi,
Related to:
http://www.openbsd.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb/src/usr.bin/ssh/ssh.c.diff?r1=1.100&r2=1.101
It'd appear that logging in readconf.c:
---
debug("Applying options for %.100s", arg);
debug("Reading configuration data %.200s", filename);
---
Goes to /dev/null.
This is caused by the fact, that in ssh.c there is:

patches for copying atimes
Hi.
Here's a patch for copying the atimes of files when -t/--times is
given. I bumped the protocol to 29 since it sends more data over the
wire. It obviously does not send the atime if it's sending data to an
older rsync version.
It passes all the tests (including the added atime.test) for me on a:
Linux Debian/3.0 gcc 2.95.4 (debian), glibc 2.2.5 system.
Any questions/feedback? I

The "test case" is a one byte file containing a zero byte. But here it
is :-)

[RFC/PATCH] ssh: config directive to modify the local environment
This provides a mechanism to attach arbitrary configure options into the
ssh_config file and use them from the LocalCommand and ProxyCommand.
Examples:
# set FOO to foo
LocalEnvMod FOO = foo
# append bar to FOO with default separator ","
LocalEnvMod FOO += bar
# unset FOO
LocalEnvMod FOO =
# append foo to BAR with separator ":", if BAR is empty
