There was a discussion here several days ago that was precipitated by my decision to manually install the new kernel before YUMming the upgrade to CentOS 4.2. The upgrade went south but I recovered by doing a fresh install and a bunch of copying from backups. All's well EXCEPT that I'm back in the same "box", thanks to anaconda. We're running a mix of ext3 and xfs file systems on CentOS 4 workstations at our site. We have benefitted greatly from the increased performance and fast (crash recovery) reboot times that we get from xfs. We're currently running CentOS kernel 2.6.9-42.0.8.EL and xfs version 0.2-1. We have one host where we've got issues. It's a (very) busy imap server with external scsi hardware
