Re: [nut-commits] svn commit r708 - in trunk: . clients server
With the Ipv6 patch (r708), I get:
upsclient.c: In function `upscli_connect':
upsclient.c:469: `AI_ADDRCONFIG' undeclared (first use in this function)
upsclient.c:469: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
upsclient.c:469: for each function it appears in.)
Even if it doesn't break IPv4 support, it may break portability, as
IPv6 seems to require specific functions that are

More NetBSD patches
Here's a unified diff, proposed by Christos Zoulas (with a little
reworking to get the configure.in part a bit cleaner). The main target of
the patches are NetBSD compatability, although there are some changes
making
if (pointer X)
into
if (X != NULL)
as well. Christos also proposed a change to Makefile.in, but I'll send
that as a seperate mail.
Thanks,
David

[PATCH] Use credentials and permissions on control socket where available
There are at least three cases:
* Linux: check credentials and pid from client;
restrict permissions from server
* BSD: check credentials only from client; restrict permissions from server
* Solaris: wide open

OpenSSH 2.1.1p1 on SCO Unixware 7.1.0
Yo All!
I was just trying out OpenSSH 2.1.1p1 on SCO Unixware 7.1.0.
The "configure" dies. See below.
This seems to be the problem:
if test -d "$f" -o -e "$f" ; then
conf_lastlog_location=$f
fi
test is expecting a "shell option" after the "-o".
If I run "/bin/sh ./configure" it fails.
If I run "/bin/bash ./configure it

Error when compiling for Solaris7
I cannot make openssh on Solaris.
The 'make' fails on the first file.
Here are the commands and the output.
Essentially, I pre-built EGD, SSL, and ran:
configure
make
make errors are listed at the bottom.
Can anyone help me get this compiled on Solaris7?

more NetBSD patches, for OpenSSH V1.2.2
Hi,
the following patches are in the NetBSD packages collection to get OpenSSH
1.2.2 going. Changes:
* /dev/urandom may be there but not in the kernel - make sure
* Pull in some more headers needed by configure
* Add proper ld-flags for ELF platforms
* Some code cleanup
* Install example files always to a different dir, and use out
build system to DTRT WRT getting them to /etc.

openssh 2.9p1 on Solaris 2.6 with AFS
hello,
I'm attempting to compile 2.9p1 on Solaris 2.6 with AFS support.
I am not using Kerberos aside from AFS. The installation notes state
that Kerberos IV is required by AFS. Since the Kerberos libraries and
header files do not appear to be distributed with AFS, I downloaded and
installed ftp://ftp.pdc.kth.se/pub/krb/src/krb4-1.0.8.tar.gz
./configure --sysconfdir=/etc/ssh

New chroot patch, for 2.1.1p4
Hi there, everybody;
As promised, here's the new version for my chroot patch.
It applies cleanly over OpenSSH 2.1.1p4, and I'm attaching 2 versions:
- openssh-2.1.1p4-chroot.patch-wc, is the chroot patch plus
a "--with-chroot" patch for the "configure" script.
- openssh-2.1.1p4-chroot.patch, is the same without the
"--with-chroot" part.
Have fun,

2.2.0p1 chroot patch
Hi there, everyone;
Attached to this mail is the 2.2.0p1 version of my chroot patch.
For those of you interested, my usual warning: This is NOT plug&pray.
You'll have to build a whole binaries/libs/conf files tree within the new
root. (it's just like the "classic" anonymous ftp behaviour)
Configure with "configure --with-chroot" to use.
Regards;

Re: [nut-commits] svn commit r714 - in trunk: . server
OK, I have removed the autoconf test for s6_addr32 (which is no longer
used), and wrote a new test for IN6_IS_ADDR_V4MAPPED. The latter is
probably portable, but since we're already in the business of testing,
it does not hurt to do so.
Arjen, I wonder about server/access.c, line 60-61:
return (IN6_IS_ADDR_V4MAPPED(ip6) &&
((((const u_int32_t *)ip6)[3] &

openssh at openssh.com
Dear openssh team !
When I try to configure openssh version 2.9p2 on an ALPHA OSF1 V4.0
I get lots of error messages of the following type
What is missing fundamentally ?
Could this be due to not using gcc ?
How can I solve these problems ?
best regards

configure.in fix (netbsd-current) for 2.1.0p3
thanks for great package. configure.in shipped with 2.1.0p3 includes
too few header files for detecting struct sockaddr_in6 and in6_addr,
and the build will fail on netbsd-current (1.4Z). here's a
tiny patch to make the build successful.

sshd Pam problem for Redhat 6.2
Hi,
There was another message about this from Darren Evans. I am hoping that
the logs from below might shed additional light on this problem (kernel
version 2.2.14). I'm running Redhat 6.2, openssh-2.1.1p2.tar.gz,
openssl-0.9.5a.tar.gz.
I haven't tried to recompile with /usr/src/linux pointing to 2.2.12 per
Darren's solution - that's my next thing to do, or perhaps compile

Daily snapshots...
All,
How can I get at the daily snapshots?
When I go to the website, www.openssh.com, and follow the Linux
link to portable.html and then go to request the daily snapshot from
http://bass.directhit.com/openssh_snap/, I get prompted for a user id
and password. Needless to say, I ain't got.
That's real useful. Use to be, I could get the snapshots from
the ftp site. Then things
