Centos 7 and php 5.5
I am hoping that the wisdom of the group here can at least point me in
the right direction.
I have a Centos7 server that I need to upgrade php from 5.4 to 5.5. I've
tried several tutorials to add the remi repository and enable php55, but
I always end up at the same result:
Error: Package: php-5.5.38-1.el6.remi.x86_64 (remi-php55)

IUS not pulling latest PHP packages
Hi,
I am running CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009 (Core) and have enabled both
epel and ius repository
- ius-release-2-1.el7.ius.noarch
- epel-release-7-14.noarch
IUS not pulling the latest PHP packages. I have ran yum clean metadata
and yum clean all commands but no luck.
The latest version is *7.4.33*
# php -v

IUS not pulling latest PHP packages
Hello,
looking at the metadata for EPEL and IUS, neither seem to carry PHP 7.4.
It is EOL anyway, so you should migrate to PHP 8.
To find out where your current PHP comes from try something like:
# rpm -qf /usr/bin/php
# rpm -qi php
I would recommend you switch to Remi's repo and upgrade to PHP 8:
https://rpms.remirepo.net/
Kind regards,

Protecting the source code.
Hello guys.
I need an opinion here. I need to make a mid-big size web project. Will
be a project that my boss wants to sell, and he don''t think show the
source code is a good idea and me neither, I love free software but on
this case will be a software made for a company who wants to try to make
some money with it.
My question is: PHP have things like Zend Guard

Encrypting source / application licensing
Hey folks-
If I wanted to distribute my code to users that would run the code on
their own machine, how could I go about encrypting the source to run on
a user''s machine?
PHP has the Zend Encoder among others, I believe. Is there anything
similar for Ruby?

Is it safe to delete /bin/[ && /usr/bin/false?
Greetings,
Well, I en devoured to install a copy of 7 as an effort to upgrade
one of our servers. After installing a few ports, I began to notice:

process. I've already invested a fair amount of time on this upgrade,
and /really/ don't want to wipe the disk(s) and start all over. This

Best way to set up for PHP websites
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I am looking to set up a CentOS server for hosting a high traffic PHP
site (specifically Drupal 6).
I am trying to figure out what's the best way of setting up PHP. The
standard mod_php seems to not be a good solution, as it requires apache
to be in the prefork configuration, due to PHP not being thread safe.
Something like mod_fcgi seems to be

reading ?plotmath you might notice that "_" isn't the propper syntax for
subscripts. This will work:
ggtern(data=x11,aes(A,B,C,xend = c(0.7,.00,0.7),yend =
c(.30,.50,.0),zend =c(.0,.50,0.3)))+

geom_text_viewport(x=c(.45,.27,.37),y=c(.32,.29,.22),label=c("P[a]","P[b]","P[c]"),
parse=TRUE)
