Use the OpenSSH 3.6 uidswap.c for building 3.7 under IRIX
[resending with uidswap.c instead of uidwrap.c] Once I got past the missing inet_ntoa.h weirdness, I ran into an sshd that died a lot. It appears that IRIX doesn't like some of the extra checks added between 1.23 and 1.24 of uidswap.c. Not sure if that constitutes an IRIX bug or not, but helpfully this helps someone. -- Mail: mjo at dojo.mi.org WWW: http://dojo.mi.org/~mjo/ Phone: +1

Compilation of 3.7p1 failed on IRIX (missing file)
Version 3.7p1 of OpenSSH can't be compiled on IRIX 6.5 because the file openbsd-compat/inet_ntoa.h is missing. It is possible to compile successfully using this file out of version 3.6.1p2. domain level authentication?
I'm trying to set up a samba server, such that 60 or so win 98 users can log into the linux box and be plopped into their respective home directories on it. I don't want them to be promted for passwords, I want the PDC, an NT box, to take care that in such a wy that I do not need a smbpasswd file. I know almost nothing about NT, but the server running works just fine, and will let people

Patches for failing build & bus error on SPARC/Linux
All - For those installs on crusty old hardware and OS releases, here are patches to fix two OpenSSH problems on sparc redhat 4.2 systems. 1. `Old PAM' #defines different - build fails with undefined symbols when PAM used. 2. Running ssh on sparc hardware results in bus error on some connection negotiations. Unaligned data on call to inet_ntoa() results in bus error.

Rpad
I've just compiled and installed Rpad from the sources under *nix (freeBSD 6.1) and R 2.4.0, and followed the suggested procedure to setup an Rpad server step by step. Now when I try to execute whatever .Rpad example file the IE browser hangs endlessly with a "loading page" pop-up and the following errors show up at the end of the html page:

IRIX cleanup.
Can I get someone from the IRIX group to apply this patch to the 3.0.2pX release and reconfigure/compile. I'm trying to clean out do_child() in perparation of a larger patch to that part of the code. Also if someone could give me the hint for the right compiler magic to wrap the code in instead of what I'm doing now. I'd be thankful. Thanks - Ben diff -urN
