Geek Squad UPS Systems
We are interested in using Nut on our Federa 6.0 servers. However, our
UPS systems are sold under the name "Geek Squad" (sold through the Best
Buy chain of department stores). I'm pretty certain Geek Squad does not
manufacture these units and they just rebrand them. Does anyone know who
makes these units or what they are compatible with in terms of driver
level protocol? The ones we

Port forwarding from dom0 to bridged domU with IPVS
Hi list,
We, an OSS advocacy group, setup a Xen 3.1 machine composed of :
. a 64 bits dom0 running Debian stable amd64
. 2 hvm domUs running OpenBSD amd64
. 2 hvm domUs running NetBSD i386
This machine is to be hosted and reachable from the Internet, but it will
only have one public IP.
Naturally, our first tought was to port-forward using iptables /
netfilter. We didn''t really

Install problem & Geek Squad UPS
I Seem to have made some progress in getting nut-2.0.5 installed, but
hidups still has a version number of 0.13. First is hidups 0.13 the
correct version? if not how do I find the correct version. Second if my
Geek Squad GS1285U UPS is not supported how do I proceed. I have been a
programmer for 35 years(mostly high level computer aided design),
written code in 20 some languages, am retired

Working UPS report: Geek Squad GS-700U (Cyberpower clone?)
Hi,
I wanted to report some success with monitoring this UPS, a "Geek Squad"
brand GS-700U that I purchased earlier this year from Best Buy Canada.
Information about this... thing is very scarce so here is what I know:
The unit itself is probably made by Cyberpower. It has a 9-pin serial
port on the UPS, as well as a serial-USB adapter thing. I cracked open

CPS GS 1500U
Hello all,
Has anyone had any luck getting a CPS GS 1500U working with NUT via USB.
Its branded Geek Squad (don't ask) but it shows up in the USB device list as
the CPS 1500U. I'm running Kubuntu Dapper with all current updates
installed, Kernel 2.6.15-26-686, NUT 2.0.3. I've tried hidups and
newhidups. With hidups I used port=/dev/bus/usb/001/004 which I'm sure is
the UPS

Install question
I downloaded nut-2.0.5 and followed the install instructions down to
step 6. Since I will be using a USB port to connect to the Geek Squad GS
1285U did not go any farther yet. I tried to run "/lib/nut/hidups -DD -u
root auto" to see if it found my UPS. But it is still the old hidups
0.13 from nut-2.0.3. Do I need to do something additional to get the new
hidups?

dos filetime resolution and dvf
I am not getting much benefit from using
oplocks = False
or
dos filetime resolution = True
in Samba 1.9.18p3 on Solaris 2.5.1 and the Developer Studio in Digital
Visual Fortran (v6.0) on WinNT4,SP4. I am also setting my PC clock

I still get a lot of messages from the Studio informing me the source
code files and workspaces have changed outside the editor or Studio

ext3 + autofs4 yields kernel oops
I recently applied the ext3-2.4-0.9.6-249.gz patch to an otherwise
unmodified official-from-Linus 2.4.9 kernel. I built both ext2 and ext3
in as modules, did the "tune2fs -j" incantation, and rebooted.
Mounting / as ext3 worked fine. But a few seconds later, my startup
scripts tried to launch a squad of automounter daemons, and that didn't
work so well. A stream of kernel

form_for with nested shallow route
Let''s say I have:
map.resources :teams do |team|
team.resources :squads, :shallow => true
end
When I want to generate a form_for a squad, I need both the team and
squad for new/create, but only the squad for edit.
This means I need:
edit:
form_for(squad)
new:
form_for([team, squad])
This seems not very dry. Is there a more idiomatic way of doing this?
Right now,

Delinearization validity checks in DependenceAnalysis
Hi David,
Thank you very much for your response.
I also get correct results for my example (for a 64-bit target) if the
upper bounds are changed to unsigned. The reason is simply because clang
zero-extends `m` for address calculations but sign-extends it for the loop
upper bound. This prevents SCEV from canceling out the 'm' term from the
difference expression that looks like `(-3 +

newhidups output for Geek Squad GS1285U
This took a long time because I had problems with my system. After I
reloaded my operating system several times I found I had a bad memory
module.
Here is the output from newhidups for my Geek Squad GS1285U. It just
kept repeating until I hit ctl-z. I think that this means nut will work
for this ups. My computer is not powered by the ups yet. I did not want
it to be powered down by accident.

Delinearization validity checks in DependenceAnalysis
Hi all,
I have been looking at the `DependenceAnalysis` pass in
`llvm/include/llvm/Analysis/DependenceAnalysis.h`.
In order for this analysis to produce accurate dependence vectors for
multi-dimensional arrays in nested loops, it needs to "delinearize" array
element accesses to recover the subscripts in each dimension of the array.
I believe that the current implementation of
