[PATCH] Perform do_pam_chauthtok via SSH2 keyboard-interactive.
Hi All. Attached is a patch to perform pam_chauthtok via SSH2 keyboard-interactive. It should be simpler, but since Solaris seems to ignore the CHANGE_EXPIRED_AUTHTOK flag, it calls do_pam_account to check if it's expired. To minimise the change in behaviour, it also caches the result so pam_acct_mgmt still only gets called once. This doesn't seem to work on AIX 5.2, I don't know

[PATCH] Drop SETGROUPS_NOOP
Hi, the SETGROUPS_NOOP define is used only for Cygwin. But it's also combined with the HAVE_SETGROUPS test in bsd-misc.c. So, since setgroups() exists and is functional in Cygwin, this is actually a noop in the more general sense. The below patch drops that entirely. [PATCH]: Remove HAVE_CYGWIN in favor of NO_IPPORT_RESERVED_CONCEPT
Hi, I've sent that patch once already but it seems more or less forgotten in the tumultuous days of the latest vulnerability. It adds a new define NO_IPPORT_RESERVED_CONCEPT which can be defined on platforms not supporting the concept of "privileged" ports only accessible by privileged users but which allow everyone to use these ports. This patch removes some Cygwin dependencies

Build failures: nanosleep on Solaris and AIX 4.2.x
Hi All. The recent changes to scp caused build failures on Solaris and AIX 4.2 which showed up on the tinderbox[1]. I mentioned the first to djm in email yesterday but I'm posting after finding the second, in case anyone else has seen similar problems. Solaris' nanosleep is in librt (or libposix4 in older versions) which is not linked. Adding them to configure works fine, however ldd

Solaris UseLogin problem
I was having problems getting the UseLogin option to work on Solaris. I would recieve this error: No utmpx entry. You must exec "login" from the lowest level "shell". This led me to believe that Solaris login wants a utmpx entry in order to function. I put together a patch that calls record_login on Solaris when using the system login. I also noticed that writing a wtmpx

AIX cleanups: includes and arguments
Hi All. First the questions: Is there anything objectionable in this patch? Is AUDIT_FAIL_AUTH appropriate for the "Reason" field? Now the details: attached is a patch that changes some of the #includes for AIX. It moves the AIX-specific includes to port-aix.h and adds includes that contain the prototypes for many of the authentication functions. The idea isto fix some warnings.

I redid my previous OPIE patch for the current ssh tree. It seems to work fine here, and I'ld love to see it merged before the 3.0 release. [PATCH] for solaris 2.6
I didn't see this one applied to the repository yet. It may not be the best patch possible... basic problem is that _LARGEFILE64_SOURCE needs to be defined on Solaris 2.6 if AC_SYS_LARGEFILE ends up doing a '#define _FILE_OFFSET_BITS 64' If _FILE_OFFSET_BITS == 64, then <sys/resource.h> will define a 'struct rlimit64' but NOT define a 'struct rlimit' leading to

[PATCH] Add expired password handling for AIX.
Hi All. Attached is a patch which adds AIX native password expiry support to sshd. It will only apply to -current and is a subset of the patch I have been working on in the last few months (see bug #14 [1]). It contains code by Pablo Sor, Mark Pitt and Zdenek Tlusty and fixes for bugs reported by many others (see [2] for a full list). It adds a do_tty_change_password function that execs

[PATCH] Password expiry merge (AIX parts)
Hi All. Attached is a patch introduces password expiry handling for AIX (other platforms to follow). It is more or less the same as the previous patch but has been updated to reflect recent changes to auth-passwd.c I'm wondering if the AIX parts of auth.c should be moved to port-aix.c and if the generic password change functions (currently at the end of auth-passwd.c) belong in a separate

add scp path to _PATH_STDPATH
what do you think about this patch to add the path to scp to _PATH_STDPATH? is there a better or cleaner way to do this? i'm hoping to ward off 'scp doesn't work' questions for the next release. i did *not* add this to a --with-default-path path, because if a user specifies that, they should control its value completely. Can I get a few other people to test. This is against --current, but maybe work against 3.3p1. Unsure. BTW.. those on NeXT platform (if you have autoreconf) should also test this. this

ls -alni /var/mail
Using the trial internal entropy gathering routines Damien so kindly provided, I noticed stuff happening slowly. I think I've traced this to the 'ls -alni /var/mail' taking a long time. Given that this is likely to hurt a few sites similar to mine (large number of users with an NFS-mounted /var/mail directory) is it sensible to put a configure option in to disable this part? I attach
