New PAM kbd-int code
http://www.mindrot.org/~djm/openssh/openssh-newpam-20030123.tar.gz
Is a snapshot of the new PAM-via-KbdInt authentication support from
FreeBSD's OpenSSH tree.
Please test this now. I can only surmise by the silence that has greeted
my previous requests for testing that the code works perfectly.

pam_chauthtok placement
Can I ask for some advice, as to where in the code would be the logical
place to add code to ask a user to change his password? Presumably
do_pam_account is the *wrong* place. Guess I should build a
do_pam_password function, but who should be calling it?

Bitrot strange behavior
Hi Cedric,
Any file is picked up for signing by the bitd process after the
predetermined wait of 120 seconds. This default value is captured in the
volume option 'features.expiry-time' and is configurable - in your case,
it can be set to 0 or 1.
Point 2 is correct. A file corrupted before the bitrot signature is
generated will not be successfully detected by the scrubber. That would

[PATCH] Password expiry with Privsep and PAM
Hi All.
Attached is a patch that implements password expiry with PAM and
privsep. It works by passing a descriptor to the tty to the monitor,
which sets up a child with that tty as stdin/stdout/stderr, then runs
chauthtok(). No setuid helpers.
I used some parts of Michael Steffens' patch (bugid #423) to make it
work on HP-UX.
It's still rough but it works. Tested on Solaris 8 and

Bitrot strange behavior
Hi Sweta,
Thanks, this drive me some more questions:
1. What is the reason of delaying signature creation ?
2. As a same file (replicated or dispersed) having different signature thought bricks is by definition an error, it would be good to triggered it during a scrub, or with a different tool. Is something like this planned ?
Cheers
?

[PATCH]: Call pam_chauthtok from keyboard-interactive.
Hi All.
This patch calls pam_chauthtok() to change an expired password via PAM
during keyboard-interactive authentication (SSHv2 only). It is tested on
Redhat 8 and Solaris 8.
In theory, it should have simply been a matter of calling pam_chauthtok
with the PAM_CHANGE_EXPIRED_AUTHTOK flag, it'd only change the password is
if it's expired, right? From the Solaris pam_chauthtok man page:

Debugging LLVM IR - Reviving the DebugIR pass
Hello all,
I recently felt the need to have debug info at the LLVM IR level (because
my frontend's semantics vastly differ from IR that it doesn't make much
sense to use it). Asm can sometimes be too "low level", so it's nice to
have the ability to single-step at the IR level.
The pass that used to do this (-debugir) bitrotted and was removed from
tree. I spent the weekend

[LLVMdev] [llvm-announce] llvm and simplescalar
It use to. alphasim (the validated alpha model based on simplescalar)
is better though. Also, since no one has needed to run simplescalar
experiments, the alpha backend has bitrotted some. The last version
that I know worked with most of spec was llvm 1.8 or so. You need to
get or write an elf64 loader and fix a couple instruction
implementations in simplescalar to get it to run linux binaries
