Patch: 3.0.1p1: rename a conflicting variable
These patches are against 3.0.1p1. I need them because I have a local mod
which needs access to the ServerOptions struct named ``options'', hence the
rename.

PATCH: log key fingerprint upon successful login
This patch is against 3.0.2p1. It produces output like the first line in the
example below for both v1 and v2 logins. Logging is turned on by sticking
``LogFingerprint yes'' in sshd_conf. It would be nice if something like this
would make it into OpenSSH.

[ossh patch] principal name/patterns in authorized_keys2
As you know, revoking RSA/DSA keys in an SSH environment requires
editing all authorized_keys and authorized_keys2 files that reference
those public keys. This is, well, difficult at best but certainly very
obnoxious, particularly in a large environment.
SSH key management is difficult. This patch simplifies key management
wherever GSS-API/Kerberos is used and is general enough to be used with

PATCH: krb4/krb5/... names/patterns in auth_keys entries
This patch (to OpenSSH 3.0.2p1) adds support for using krb4, krb5 and
other principal names in authorized_keys entries.
It's a sort of replacement for .klogin and .k5login, but it's much more
general than .k*login as it applies to any authentication mechanism
where a name is associated with the ssh client and it supports name
patterns and all the normal authorized_keys entry options

Key fingerprint logging
Hello there!
I have made a patch against OpenSSH 3.0.2p1 which allows the fingerprint of
the accepted key to be printed in the log message. It works with SSH1-RSA and
SSH2 pubkey (DSA+RSA) authentication.
This feature is controllable by the LogKeyFingerprint config option (turned
off by default).

Patch: Set SSH_AUTHKEY to key id used to authenticate.
Attached is a patch which sets the SSH_AUTHKEY environment variable to be
the remaining data at the end of an SSH key which is used for
authentication.
The motivation behind this is that there are time in which it's useful to
know who is on the other end of the connection. For example, if I log in
as root on a box, I'd like to be able to configure vi-specific settings,
while another user

Bug in auth-options.c
Hi,
There's a nasty bug in auth-open.c that causes all options in a line
of authorized_keys to be applied to all subsequent lines without
options.
IMNSHO this clearly shows the evil of global variables, and using
extern whatever as a means of information sharing.
Cheers,
Han Holl

'Trying usename <machinename>'
Connecting from WinNT to Samba 1.9.18p10 I have another question:
When I have a drive map to my Unix homedir, which should be automatically
reconnected during login, I get an error that my password is not correct.
If I control the log file of Samba I see:

readbraw vs. readX
Using Samba 1.9.18p10 I have found a difference between Win95 and WinNT:
opening 'Lotus Freelance' files from Win95 is really slow (about 17 kB/s
only) vs fast (~hundreds of kB/s) from WinNT.
Looking into the log (with debug level=4) I see using Win95:

Problems with Port Forwarding and Password auth
Secure FTP through SecureFX 1.8B3: issues (Using OpenSSH 2.1.1p2)
I downloaded the latest SecureFX because it now claims support for OpenSSH. I'm
like cool, now I'll finally be able to secure my ftp on my gateway.
First off, I really like the new configure. Everything went ok, I could ssh into
the box just fine. Unfortunately ftp didn't work work through SecureFX. I would

openssh 3.1 and rsync dont work - BUTssh 2.9.9.p1 does !
We have AIX 4.3.3 ML09 and AIX 5.1 ML01
I have narrowed the problem down, it is nothing to do with
uni/multiprocessor machines.
Both rsync 2.3.1 compiled by Bull in an installp and a gcc compiled
version of 2.4.5 ( by me ) both have exactly the same problem with SSH
3.1.p1 and both DONT have the problem with SSH 2.9.9p1 - so I assume this
is something highly specific to SSH 3.1.1.p1
Hope this

Patch that allows equal sign in options
Hi,
Here is a patch for release 1.2.2 that allows the use of '=' instead
of whitespace when specifying options. For options on the commandline,
it can be useful to be able to avoid whitespace in some situations.
best regards and thanks for the patch regarding segfaulting with PAM,
Stefan

[PATCH] random SSH_MSG_IGNORE packets
Hi!
The following patch adds ability to configure the ssh client to
send SSH[2]_MSG_IGNORE packets of random length at random times
whithin a user-specified interval. The function is configured by
setting the config-file options BogusTrafficIntervalMax and
BogusTrafficIntervalMin, which defines the interval in seconds in
which the packets are randomly sent. It is disabled by default. It

[PATCH] add log= directive to authorized_hosts
Attached is a patch which adds a log= directive to authorized_keys. The text
in the log="text" directive is appended to the log line, so you can easily
tell which key is matched.
For instance the line:
log="hello world!",no-agent-forwarding,command="/bin/true",no-pty,
no-user-rc,no-X11-forwarding,permitopen="127.0.0.1:7"
