scp with F-Secure SSH2
Hi!
I was browsing through archives and found out that somebody else was having
the same problem as I'm.
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=248
from the client, when I run scp to the server, I get:
scp: warning: Executing scp1 compatibility.
scp: FATAL: Executing ssh1 in compatibility mode failed (Check that scp1 is in
your PATH).
There are more details about this problem here:

Have configure search $PATH for krb5-config
Hi All.
Right now, if OpenSSH is configure'ed --with-kerberos5 and the system
has a krb5-config that's not in /usr/local/bin then configure won't find it.
The attached patch changes this so krb5-config will be used if it's
anywhere in the path (although if it exists in the directory specified
by --with-kerberos5= then the user-supplied path will take precedence).
You will

.spec file for SLES 9
Hello all,
I'm gearing up for an RPM deployment of 4.2p1 on SuSE (SLES 9). However, the files
under contrib/suse in the OpenSSH distribution appear to be out-of-date. In
particular, SuSE seems to handle init scripts quite differently now.
So, is anyone building local RPMs for SuSE? If so, could you post the .spec
file you are using? Is there any interest in updating the contrib/suse

openssh-unix-dev Digest, Vol 8, Issue 15
I think what Mr. Farr is referring to is keychain support. Keychain is
provided as part of OS X. Apple published an API for it. An OS X
compile would store and retrieve keys from Keychain in lieu/addition to
the SSH Agent. Keychain is to OS-X what the ssh-agent is to ssh. This
makes perfect sense, and I haven't been sufficiently peeved to do this
yet, but I have dreamt of this myself.

Runnin SSH on slow CPU (386 40Mhz 8Mb RAM)
Hello everybody,
I'd like to use OpenSSH (client & server, for shell & sftp) on
an embedded PC with limited resources (processor 386 SX 40Mhz
8Mb RAM). I have Linux running on it.
In the past, I tried to use OpenSSH on it just to see if it could
work but each connection required an incredible long time to start. I
suppose that the key generation is too expensive for that processor.

PRIVSEP annoys me.
what's the point of using a new message type if it's the same as
RSAAuthentication?
the stat() fails because the process that reads
from the network is chrooted.
check PRIVSEP() in auth-rsa.c to figure out how
RSAAuthentication works with PRIVSEP.

Suggestion for %h in ControlPath
Hi.
Just a suggestion : in the ControlPath syntax, you could add a %H that
would expand to the name of the "Host" specification matched, + %h.
In my opinion, when you add a "Host" paragraph with a different name
for the same target host, generally you dont want to reuse the same
control socket. Of course you can write different ControlPath
directives in each specification
