USB Joystick
I want to run an old game called Xwing from LucasArts and it apparently loads
correctly but it requires a joystick to run the game. I have a usb joystick but
I wasn't sure how to show wine that I have such a device. I am running Debian
Sarge with winetools and wine apt repository from your site. I can use my
joystick with FlightGear without a problem.

Joystick Axis not working
My Joystick, a Logitech Extreme 3D, works natively in Linux. It's mapped to /dev/input/js0
All the buttons on the joystick work in wine, but the Joystick's Axis', HAT switch and throttle do not work in wine. Specifically, I'm trying to play Xwing Alliance. I'm running Gentoo Linux, 2.6.25.4 kernel, wine 1.0 rc3
Any help getting my joystick's axis', hat switch,

Question about adding another parameter for OpenSSH
Hello,
I need to allow for some people to execute ssh with one shared private
key for remote executing command on various machines. However, it is not
possible to set group permissions for private keys and it is possible
to have just one private key file for one user. Please, is it possible
to add patches into openssh development tree like these, so that standard
behavior of ssh is not changed,

Disconnects from Cisco router ssh sessions.
Hi.
I don't do much with routers any more but recently I was configuring a
Cisco via SSH when my session disconnected while pasting large amounts
of text. I'm told this is common.
I've had this patch for a while but I've not been able to test it. If
anyone is regularly experiencing this kind of issue could you please
tell me if the attached patch helps?

Terse Mocks
Hello,
I recently made a feature request with a patch for terser mocks.
http://rubyforge.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=10412&group_id=1917&atid=7480
Here are some examples with their current equivalents:
the_mock.expects.foo(1,2) {|a, b| :bar}
the_mock.expects.foo(1,2).returns(:bar)
the_mock.expects(:foo).with(1,2) {|a, b| :bar}

patch adding none cipher/mac for ssh v2
Below is a patch that adds the ability to have a none cipher and mac for
protocol version 2. By default, sshd will not allow these to be used;
an admin will have to explicitly allow them in the Ciphers and MACs
section of sshd_config. Additionally, the client will not use these
unless explicitly instructed to by the user.
The actual name of the cipher is 'none2', to distinguish it

add version 2 identities by default, too
[ I'm not subscribed to this list; please CC any followups to me as
well ]
When a user invokes "ssh-add" with no arguments, I think we should
default to adding both version 1 and version 2 keys. Here's a patch
against the source included with my Debian package of OpenSSH:

[PATCH] PreferAskpass in ssh_config
Moin,
attached is a patch, which adds a new configuration option
"PreferAskpass" to the ssh config.
ssh{,-add,-keygen,-agent} will use ssh-askpass to prompt for passwords, if
this option is set to "yes", and if ssh-askpass is available.
Default for "PreferAskpass" is "no".
Pacth is against current CVS.

Linux in-kernel keys support
Hi all,
I recently made a patch to openssh 4.1p1 to allow it to use the
in-kernel key management provided by 2.6.12 or later Linux kernels.
I've attached the patch (which is still only a proof-of-concept, for
instance its very verbose right now) to this mail.
Now, my question is, is this a completely insane idea and would (a later
version of) the patch have a chance of making it into the

[PATCH 1/2] Add support for openssl engine based keys
Engine keys are keys whose file format is understood by a specific
engine rather than by openssl itself. Since these keys are file
based, the pkcs11 interface isn't appropriate for them because they
don't actually represent tokens. The current most useful engine for
openssh keys are the TPM engines, which allow all private keys to be
stored in a form only the TPM hardware can decode,

auth-pam.c support for pam_chauthtok()
When we installed OpenSSH 2.1.1p4 on our Solaris systems, our users
noticed that it did not honor password expiration consistently with
other Solaris login services.
The patch below is against OpenSSH 2.2.0p1 and adds support for PAM
password changes on expiration via pam_chauthtok(). A brief summary of
changes:

Accessing SSH key path using SSH_ASKPASS and passwordstore
Hello,
With the introduction of SSH_ASKPASS_REQUIRE in version 8.4, I've set
up a script for SSH_ASKPASS to query my local passwordstore
(https://www.passwordstore.org/) vault to retrieve the password for a
given key. This works for ssh-add as well as ssh (configured with
AddKeysToAgent set to 'yes'). My workflow effectively transforms into
entering the password for the GPG key used

Anti-idle in OpenSSH client?
Heya,
Most of the windows ssh clients (putty, securecrt) have anti-idle
features. They offer either a null packet or protocol no-op or user
defined string to be sent over every x seconds.
Is this possible or planned with the OpenSSH client? Our draconian
firewall admins have started timing out ssh sessions. Yes I'm aware I
could hack up a port forwarding dumb traffic process, but was

FreeBSD 4.x
On FreeBSD 4.x with HAVE_LOGIN_CAP defined the OpenSSH daemon doesn't properly follow standards.
As stated in man 5 login.conf and the process followed by /usr/bin/login,
"The ttys.allow and ttys.deny entries contain a comma-separated list of
tty devices (without the /dev/ prefix) that a user in a class may use to

sshd doesn't log which RSA key was used
Hi guys,
and another feature request for sshd which I would classify as really
useful. And I think this behaviour is currently not available (If yes,
sorry, I must have missed it):

Feedback regarding the ssh(1) Match directive
Hi,
I noticed the recent commit adding Match support to ssh(1). I look
forward to giving it a try, but I have some initial feedback based on
ssh_config.5 and an examiniation of match_cfg_line().
First, the "command" keyword could be a little deceptive. Although the
man page makes the use of this keyword quite clear, my initial
assumption was that the intent was to match against the
