Queue member (Agent) does not Dial
Hi All, We are using Asterisk 1.2.18 in a CentOS box. Implemented a queue (maqueue) structure for handling customer calls. There are 4 queue members (85744,85766,85511,84888). These 4 members are logged in using AgentCallbackLogin application. But at some point, one of the agent's SIP phone does not ring for an incoming call to this queue. I checked the agent status and it is not in paused

The spammers have discovered us
Unfortunately, the no-spam picnic is over; the mouthbreathers have finally discovered the xiph.org mailing lists. I've changed the list posting policies to 'members only' until such time as I can set up a better filtering solution. All mail from other addresses will bounce into a dead-letter bucket. Of course, this is a pain in the ass for folks who post from a number of sites.

Authentication issues - One problem found, another discovered
All; Okay, I'm narrowing the problem down. With all other things configured, I'm down to and ADS problem. The reason Samba can't verify my username/passwords (as specified in password server = xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) is because that address points to an ADS, and I didn't compile ADS into Samba (best answer I can find...If I'm way off base on that one, just let me know). So, the

call recording and CDR "feature" discovered?
Hi Folks, I've been playing with call recording for our support department which was kinda going ok until I spotted something odd in the CDR. None of the support calls are being entered into the CDR properly. I'm using mysql as the back end and Areski's web based front end and all was going fine. The problem seems to be that the CDR doesn't get populated with the destination

WINS problem discovered and fixed!! browsing speedup of 20X for large networks
Ok, after several months of pulling my hair out I finally fixed WINS and browsing at out Univesity. It ended up being an acutal bug, er bad code segment. To explain we have a large number of clients ~1000+ at any one time over 6 subnets. Browsing was spuratic at best. nmbd sucked up %70 of the proccessing power of a sparc 5. Well after serious investigation I traced it down to two lines of

Changes to inodes discovered by aide
Hi. On one of my servers aide just reported inode changes to a large bunch of files in a variety of directories, e.g. /usr/bin, /usr/sbin etc. This machine sits behind a couple of firewalls and it would be hard to get to. The day before I updated "clam*" and updated the aide database right after that: -rw------- 1 root root 7407412 Sep 26 10:58 aide.db.gz The problem was that the

Further bug discovered with the Directshow decoder
Hi good people, Just to inform: I finally fed FFMpeg2Theora with a .VOB input, and the .OGV output produced played back beautifully in VLC, both audio and video. However, the same output .OGV file gave clicks and pops in the audio when fed through Directshow programs. I played it through Windows Mediaplayer as well as through Winamp, with the same crackles in the audio, and this leads me to

Another Discovered/Undocumented feature of yumrepo - and a workaround
I was working with yumrepo, defining new entried and seeing them appear in /etc/yum.repos.d After considerable tinkering, and with the sad discovery that resource { ''yumrepo'': purge => true } does not work, I moved my working /etc/yum.repos.d to /etc/yum.repos.d-old and re-ran my catalog. To my surprise, the repo entried were appended to /etc/yum.conf Long story short: I
