Agent Socket Directory
Dear All,
Is it possible to move agent sockets to directories other than /tmp?
For ex., move to /var/run/ssh?
I don't know if anyone has asked for this before. I'm asking this
because according to the current FHS 2.2 (http://www.pathname.com/fhs/),
PID files and sockets should always go to /var/run. I understand that
it is not possible for an ordinary user to write to /var/run,

AIX remote root logins
I am in the process of introducing OpenSSH into our corporate environment.
This environment includes Solaris / HP-UX / AIX and Linux
We have had audit tell us we need to disable root logins through telnet...
we can do this through the use of OpenSSH on all platforms except AIX
apparently bug # 383 was supposed to take care of this and I have

Anti-idle in OpenSSH client?
Heya,
Most of the windows ssh clients (putty, securecrt) have anti-idle
features. They offer either a null packet or protocol no-op or user
defined string to be sent over every x seconds.
Is this possible or planned with the OpenSSH client? Our draconian
firewall admins have started timing out ssh sessions. Yes I'm aware I
could hack up a port forwarding dumb traffic process, but was

Setproctitle && HPUX, patch/fix included
Hello,
I've asked this on the openssh (regular) list before, but was directed
here. I've been trying to get the 'setproctitle' part working on HPUX
systems (11.00). I've figured out that on HP setproctitle requires
sys/pstat.h and some other settings.
I can locate sys/pstat.h on my system, but the ./configure won't find it
(it's in /usr/include/sys/pstat.h). When I

Omnipage 17 hangs at splash screen
I'm trying to use OmniPage 17 Pro. Wine is 1.3.15 from the Ubuntu PPA, running on Ubuntu Maverick.
It seems to have installed okay, but running it gets as far as the splash screen and hangs. Terminal output is:

Source not found for client
I'm running icecast and ices that I got out of CVS last night. I'm
attempting to set up a live stream from /dev/dsp to /live.ogg. I've
basically tweaked the icecast.xml and ices-live.xml to do this. Things
seem to start up fine, and I get this in the icecast error log:

Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere (SQL Anywhere Studio)
I have just done a Rails database driver for Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere
(SQL Anywhere Studio)
If interested see http://www.iqx.co.uk/mhs/sybaseanywhere_adapter.zip
or the Wiki.
It is based on the SQLServer one. A bit of tweaking and plenty of testing
needed, but works ok with the published examples.
Any thoughts/advice welcome.

Web vmail CGI patch
Here is a patch to the vmail.cgi. It adds the "Content-Length" header
with the size of the audio file. Fixes viewing problems os Safari and
IE (probably others too). Mark, can you add this, assuming you approve?

Well, there's support for simple stereo (intensity-based) encoding too,
but it's probably not necessary to take care of it now.

Optimization problem
Hello,
I'm facing a problem of optimization, I've already solved but I'm trying to
find other answers to this problem to improve the solution.
Well, to make it short: I have to set/install a number of devices in a
building, and I have to give service to a number of "customers", or better
say, to give a good quality of the signal. The more devices I place, the
