lattice : using both strip and strip.left
Dear all,
I'm routinely using lattice and ggplot2, I wish to create a lattice
theme that looks not too dissimilar to ggplot's defaults so I can
include both graphs in a document with a consistent look.
To illustrate my questions, consider the following example:

> library(lattice)

Another feature proposal and implementation plan: --strip-prefix
Here's another feature I'd like to have:
Suppose you're copying a source file /a/b/c/d/e/f/g/h/myfile and you
want it stored on some other filesystem /backup, but you want the source
path to be truncated so that the file actually ends up as: /backup/h/myfile.
This comes up (in particular) when doing backups of windows machines via
cygwin; you end up with a phony base directory

rsync of a reflink from OCFS2
Hi,
i have some virtual machines running on logical volumes formatted with OCFS2. I'd like to snapshot the running guests
to backup them easily afterwards. The files of the guests are big (100 - 300GB), but the content changes only slowly.
So i thought that rsync would be a great benefit because it justs transfers the difference between the current file and
the one backuped one day before. I

strip.custom with strip on left for three conditioning variables
I want to use a strip.custom as with useOuterStrips for three conditioning
variables.
useOuterStrips restricts this to only two conditioning variables, and I
cannot figure out
how to write strip.custom properly to do this.
library(lattice)
mtcars$HP <- equal.count(mtcars$hp)
#with two factors
x2<-xyplot(mpg ~ disp | HP + factor(cyl), mtcars)
useOuterStrips(x2)
#with three factors

can't define domain - error: cannot open /dev/null: Operation not permitted
Hi,
i have a two-node cluster running on SLES 12 with pacemaker.
The cluster refused to start the domains on one node.
So i took some of the domains out of the cluster and tried to start it manually.
This is what happened:
virsh # define /mnt/share/vm_documents-oo.xml
error: Failed to define domain from /mnt/share/vm_documents-oo.xml
error: cannot open /dev/null: Operation not permitted

strip function
Hi,
I would like to asign titles into strip of a panel of curves designed
thanks to a xyplot function (lattice package)
I ve tried the "strip" function, ...
here is my code
I would like to write in the strip of each panel conditionning varialbe
(here, it is data[,1])
xyplot (data[,3] ~ data[,2] | data[,1] , strip.default (which.given=1,
which.panel = c(1:15), var.name= c

Force to strip all symbols from ELFs when using rpmbuild on CentOS
Hello.
What's the proper way to remove *all symbols* from ELF binaries when
building packages with rpmbuild on CentOS? Seems that an out of the box
rpmbuild install only discards debugging symbols (strip -g).
That's the default configuration for %__os_install_post on CentOS, the
step in charge on stripping binaries:
$ rpmbuild --showrc
(..)

strip.custom() with more than one conditioning variable
Suppose I wanted to plot the barley data like this:
dotplot(variety ~ yield | year+ site, barley,
strip = strip.custom(style = 4))
The factor levels are far too long for that to be useful. I can
overcome that problem if I shorten the levels like this:
dotplot(variety ~ yield | year + site, barley,
strip = strip.custom(style = 4,
factor.levels =
