[LLVMdev] The complete suite of llvm now compiles on mingw
Sorry, I forgot to give all you guys my credit, too. Without your help - especially from Jeff, Morten, Reid and Chris, to name a few, this wouldn't have succeded. Just for fun, I ran from a windows command prompt the fibinacci.exe with the argument of 10 and it returned 55. All in all, something lives. Great! :) >From: "Henrik Bach" Date: Fri, 28 Jan 2005 23:26:02 +0100

How do I enable groupname map functionality?
I can see code in Samba 2.2.7a in source/smbd/groupname.c to do "groupname map" functionality. I see #ifdef USING_GROUPNAME_MAP but I don't see any option to configure to enable this. Is this feature available or is it still under development. -- Eric M. Boehm /"\ ASCII Ribbon Campaign boehm@nortelnetworks.com \ / No HTML or RTF in mail

getent group [groupname] do not show users
Hi all, With Samba 4.4.5, on member servers (I did not tried yet on DCs), using "getent group" with or without specifying a group name groups are shown but they are shown as empty groups, no user name is displayed. Is there a way to make them displayed? Cheers, Mathias

getent group [groupname] do not show users
Hum, that's strange: smbfs20:~# getent group Domain\ Users domain users:x:3100035: So no users displayed. smbfsXY are my test file servers, so members only. Regarding usage of samba-tool on members for now it not possible as package containing that tool is not installed on members. For now this stands as a choice: samba-tool is very powerful and I'm not too fond to deploy on machines

Question about groups in ldap
Hi I have serveral questions about groups in ldap. Is it possible to use different groups with the same well known SID or is a well known SID only allowed once? Is it allowed to uses spaces in groupnames, e.g. "domain admins"? Afaik groups with spaces are not posix conform. In Samba-Developers-Guide.pdf included with samba 3.0 page 72f. Q: how to collect user/group-names
Hi Sorry if it's not 100% appropriate for this list, cannot think of better place to find people with lots of know-how from Unix and Windows. I'm currently working on replacing EMC's Celerra file servers by Linux/Samba. The SID to UID/GID mapping table on Celerra is very large, ~50'000 entries and I don't want to pollute my LDAP server with all this (using winbind with LDAP

Bug in str or issue with class management in my package?
Dear developeRs, with R 2.4.1 (and also 2.4.0), the function str() fails on objects of class relimplmbooteval, if there are unused slots, which is very often the case. I am not sure whether this is a bug in str() or a correct behavior of str() that unmasks some sloppiness in my usage of S4 classes (that I am not aware of)? Reproducible example (package relaimpo needed): The program

not working : valid users = @"DOM+USER"
Hi, I have Samba 3.0.4 on Solaris 9, recent patches applied. Samba is integrated in domain (security = domain). I have compiled and configured winbind, but not pam and no ldap. Ncsd is stopped. Winbind works OK, I can connect to share and users get mapped on-the-fly to UNIX uids and gids in the ranges specified in smb.conf. My config is included below with some tweaks to protect the innocent.

Hello Folks, i'have a problem share a directory to both unix(nfs) and windows(samba). The main problem is, that the rights are associated to winbind groups. the user in question can access the files from windows correctly and locally correctly (via su -$USER). If i mount the directory via nfs and make a su - $USER i can't write to the directory. when calling getfacl $DIR i can see, that

how to turn axis labels for trellis/dotplot
hi, it occurs quite naturally that groupnames have so many characters that they overlap as horizontally printed labels for the xaxis in a dotplot. is it possible to turn ('par(las=1)') the (x)axis-labels in a dotplot? in general, is it possible to add new customization themes to trellis.get()? any solution is very welcome! tomy -- no signature
