Cyrus Virtual Domains: Domain migration from Cyrus
hi,
we want to migrate from Cyrus 2.x to Dovecot 1.x (!). We use the virtual
domain feature from Cyrus for a better disk partitioning:
/var/imap/domain.a/user/foo ..
/var/imap/domain.b/user/foo ..
/var/imap/domain.c/user/foo ..
In a exported skiplist DB, it shows like:
=================
domain.a!user.foobar 0 int foobar at domain.a lrswipcda postmaster at domain.a
domain.a!user.han 0 int han

dag repo and perl dependencies naming
Hi
I'm trying to install amavisd-new from dag repo on centos3.
In the spec file perl dependencies use parenthesis: perl(Digest::MD5)
it also uses '-': perl-MailTools
The problem is that only the second notation is available: perl-MD5
I know this is an old problem. Is this only centos related?
Is there a workaround?
Do I have to modify the spec file? I'd like to use yum...

has anyone tried adsl-optmizer kernel patches for dsl modems?
Hi
I''m using wondershaper like script. But noticed imperfect scheduling.
By googling, I found some patches that takes the aal5 atm overhead in
the scheduling algorithms.
http://www.adsl-optimizer.dk/ADSL-optimizer/
Before trying it, has anyone tried these patches? they apply on 2.4.29
kernel and 2.6.9 TC. I use centos4 with a 2.6 kernel, so I can''t try
these easily.
Thanks

perl dependency problems in dag's repo
Hi
I know this might not be the right list.
There are some dependency problems with perl packages in dag's repo.
This is not the first perl package which doesn't install because of this
kind of dependency.
Any idea?

postfix pb with mass emails
Hi
I'm hosting a forum (phpbb) with more than 3500 users with centos 4.3.
The forum admins would like to send an email to its (3500) users. I
configured phpbb to use smtp (postfix-2.1.5-4.2.RHEL4.mysql.centos4) to
send the email.
I raised the max destination limit from 1000 to 5000, and made a test.
Here the disaster began:
Majority of the users received from 20 to 50 emails.

Sip Traffic
Hi.
there is a way to MARK udp VOIP (SIP) traffic,
in order to put in a highest prio class ?
Traffic flow seems start on udp 5060 port, but
next both server and client seems jump to a
random(?) port.
I can''t use CONNMARK because is udp traffic.
I only see a pattern for L7 patch in order to
SIP traffic identification , but I run 2.4
kernel series .
When you patch 2.4 kernel with

postfix, cyrus-imapd and ldap limitation
I'm gonna remove the user name which is actually 1 character shorter
than 'username' ...
I have a client with a somewhat long domain name... myhomelenders.net
I am using LDAP and the primary mail address is in an ldap attribute
called 'mail' and that is working fine.
I also use an ldap attribute called 'mailLocalAddress' for storing
aliases and those have been

This looks really interesting. However, my own situation is such
that I am long past looking for a turnkey operation or could
contemplate moving off of sendmail and cyrus-imap. However, if
