Connections suddenly closing
Hi, I have been having a problem with OpenSSH which afaict has _never_ happened prior to upgrading to 3.0. (I always run the current release, so I'd been on 2.9.9[p2] prior to 3.0.) At a seemingly random time, I will lose my connection to the remote host, for example: Read from remote host crate.alongtheway.com: Connection reset by peer Granted, I am not sure that that was the error

I can see the FreeBSD box on all of my Win 9x boxes, but when I double click on its icon, I get a rude box message that says something like: ==================================================== You must supply a password to make this connection Resource: \\SAMMY\IPC$ ====================================================

Photoshop can't save files, gives bogus "Disk is full" error
Hello, I am having dreadful problems with Win2k workstations running Photoshop not being unable to save files to a new file server which we just installed for the direct purpose of serving graphics files. When trying to Save As a new file or Save an edited (existing) file we're getting a response that the disk is full, which is far from true because we have 1.6 TB free. This happens both

Ordering problem
I have an ordering and factor problem to which there must be a simple solution! The version is R 2.0.1 (2004-11-15) on A Linux platform. A data frame H is read in from a .csv file using read.csv with as.is=TRUE. Another data frame HN is constructed from data and I want to compare two columns both named ss of the (sorted) data frames that are the same length. The problem is that HN$ss is

samba-2.2.8a-220 and OSX
Hi to all. We have a samba-2.2.8a-220 Server. The server works still fine with several clients (W9x, W2k, WXP and smbmounts via Linux). But now I have to connect an Apple OSX and now I have one problem. From OSX I can connect to the shares, browse the file listing. But when a file is copied into a share, the file is on the destination with 0 (zero) Bytes filesize. The linux uid and gid are

[PATCH v2 18/27] drm/dp_mst: Remove lies in {up, down}_rep_recv documentation
These are most certainly accessed from far more than the mgr work. In fact, up_req_recv is -only- ever accessed from outside the mgr work. Findsmb manual page now lies because the output of smbclient -L changed?
In 2.2.8a days, findsmb would print the OS and Server version of the machines it found, like this: *=DMB +=LMB IP ADDR NETBIOS NAME WORKGROUP/OS/VERSION --------------------------------------------------------------------- 192.168.49.247 WINQA1 [QATEST] [Windows 5.0] [Windows 2000 LAN Manager] 192.168.49.250 WINQA2

2 root disks sdb1,sdc1; if set "root=/dev/sdc1", mtab lies saying sdb1 is root!?
I have 2 SCSI disks each w/a RH 7.3 ext3 root filesystem: /dev/sdb1, and /dev/sdc1. /dev/sda1 is an old RH4.2 root filesystem. (sdb1 was created as an image of sdc1 using dd.) I have no problem booting from a SYSLINUX 1.52 floppy with SYSLINUX.CFG containing "append initrd=initrd.img root=/dev/sdb1". When I alter SYSLINUX.CFG with: "append initrd=initrd.img root=/dev/sdc1".
