openssh on HPUX 11i
In case this hasn't already been reported or discussed... It took some doing for me to get openssh working on HPUX 11i. The fixes are quite simple. First, one must have the IPV6 package installed: em 512# swlist -l product | grep IPV6 IPV6AA A.01.01.5D IPv6 11i product Second, I have to edit config.h to undefine HAVE_GETADDRINFO. Without IPV6, ssh can't connect

Samba on HP Itanium
I've down loaded Samba from HP's web sight and installed according to instructions. Loaded all support files and programs, but still when I try to start Samba up the "libdld.so" file says it can't find "libldap.so". Which is true, it is no where on the system. Although other "linldap" files are. If I do a search for "libldap.so" I can't

HPUX 9.05 & Samba 2.0.0 & problems -> solved !
Hi there ! I just solved the problem that produced following error in smb.log file: 'check_access_allowed_for_current_user: The process is no longer waiting!' Since nobody gave me any help I had to dig this out myself :-) This error happens if two programs hold more than 10 same files simultaneously open through Samba and check_access_allowed_for_current_user() gets called. CVS woes under HPUX 10.20
<sigh> Ever since the -lsec/-lsecurity tests in configure were "fixed", post beta2, I cannot compile any version of Samba 2.x on HPUX 10.20. The only options set with configure are --prefix= and --with-mmap. The differences seem to be reversed settings for availability of getspnam, bigcrypt, getprpwnam, and set_auth_parameters (in config.cache) and for the related defines in

Re: Which Samba (CIFS ?) For HPUX 11.00 ?
Hi Nick, This topic should be on samba@lists.samba.org - not technical. I'll give you a brief overview, and any followup send to me directly. HP-CIFS Server for 11.0 is based upon Samba 2.2.12. Support for 11.0 ends there - at 2.2.12. Go to: http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B8725AA If you want to continue on 11.0, HP posts 3.0.14a Opensource
