Linux 2.2 + borken mmap() round 1
The following is just a simple 'if ANON|SHARE is broken, disable compression'. We don't have time for fancy stuff until we have time for long term testing. I have one friend of mine testing this. Can I get a few other people to test. This is against --current, but maybe work against 3.3p1. Unsure. BTW.. those on NeXT platform (if you have autoreconf) should also test this. this

ogg123: shared memory by mmap()
The patch below adds: - acinclude.m4: A new macro A_FUNC_SMMAP to check that sharing pages through mmap() works. This is taken from Joerg Schilling's star. - configure.in: A_FUNC_SMMAP - ogg123/buffer.c: If we have a working mmap(), use it to create a region of shared memory instead of using System V IPC. Works on BSD. Should also work on SVR4 and offspring (Solaris), and Linux.

[LLVMdev] [PATCH][Compiler-rt] Windows implementation of mmap functionality in clear_cache_test and enable_execute_stack_test
Hi, Attached is a patch for compiler-rt to allow it to compile with MinGW-w64 on Windows. Results aren't that bad. x86 GCC and Clang do everything right, all tests pass. x86_64 GCC fails a lot of tests. This is 99% sure a codegen issue. 38 - fixunssfti_test (Failed) 74 - fixunsdfti_test (Failed) x86_64 Clang fails these tests: 2 - udivmodti4_test (SEGFAULT) 6 - fixdfti_test (Failed) 8 -

dovecot on OSF/1 4.0
Hi,, In src/lib/mountpoint.c:53 the following had to be commented out: // point_r->type = p_strdup(pool, buf.f_fstypename); because f_fstypename is undeclared on this OS. Also the following errors occur with the DEC C compiler (which compiles the other files just fine): source='file-cache.c' object='file-cache.o' libtool=no DEPDIR=.deps depmode=none

anon cvs?
I'd like to add an "on.exit" flag to "reg.finalizer". Is it possible to check out the source via anon cvs? (If so, which module is preferred for this sort of thing, and which diff flags?) Tim -- Timothy H. Keitt <tkeitt@mail.utexas.edu> University of Texas at Austin

[PATCH] Fix missing include in sys/mman.h
Linux commit 746c9398f5ac ("arch: move common mmap flags to linux/mman.h") moved a few mmap flags, particularly MAP_PRIVATE, from asm/mman.h to linux/mman.h. This broke klibc's build, which uses MAP_PRIVATE. linux/mman.h includes asm/mman.h, so this commit merely includes linux/mman.h instead of asm/mman.h.
