[openssh-1.2.2] some porting notes for SunOS 4.1.4
Hi. Here are the relevant details about the setup: SunOS 4.1.4 gcc 2.7.2.2 tcp wrappers 7.5 egd 0.6 (doesn't really come into play at compile time) The following only pertains to the compilation (and linking) stage. Code and patches are SunOS specific. -- The following functions are missing in SunOS: strerror, atexit, memmove. I wrote simple replacements in term of on_exit and bcopy

ssh-agent does not immediately clean timeouted keys from memory
during my seminar of advanced exploitation techniques (SEAT, [1]) i developed some methods to crack into system via DMA (e.g. via firewire). as part of this i developed a program that steals loaded ssh private keys from ssh-agents. i was astonished to find that the keys are not immediately removed from the agent when a timeout occurs, but only the next time the agent is queried via its socket. i

SunOS 4.x port
This is based on openssh-2.0.0beta1. There are a few rough spots: 1) SunOS doesn't have ut_type in struct utmp so I just whacked in the old login() from openssh-1.2.3. 2) There is a SUNOS4 section added to defines.h -- this could probably be a bit cleaner. 3) sigaction on SunOS is implemented via #defines to sigvec, thus there is no SA_RESTART (this is the default behavior).

[PATCH]: Workaround a security leak on Windows
The attached patch should solve the following problem: ssh-agent creates a temporary directory under /tmp with '600' permissions. The actual socket file is created in that dir using the default umask. That's no problem in U*X systems since nobody but the owner of the directory can read the socket file. Unfortunately, Windows has a user privilege called "Bypass traverse

[PATCH] ssh-agent: add systemd socket-based activation
This adds support for systemd socket-based activation in the ssh-agent. When using socket activation, the -a flag value must match the socket path provided by systemd, as a sanity check. Support for this feature is enabled by the --with-systemd configure flag. --- Something tells me upstream would not be interested in this patch, but as it may be useful on linux, I'm submitting it here.

compiling 0.62.3 for SunOS 4.1.4 and Solaris 2.6
Just a quick report on compiling R 0.62.3 for SunOS 4.1.4 and Solaris 2.6 (both with gcc 2.7.2.something), in hopes that it'll be useful to someone. 4.1.4 - I followed Charles Berry's forward of Ross Ihaka's suggestion about putting fake #defines for gamma and lgamma in src/include/Mathlib.h (this works best on the second pass, after the graphics library (which also contains

Patch to make openssh-2.1.1p3 compile on SunOS 4.1.4
Hi, For the last few weeks I've been struggling to get openSSL/openSSH compiled and running under SunOS. Specfically, openssh-2.1.1p3: SSH Version OpenSSH_2.1.1, protocol versions 1.5/2.0. Compiled with SSL (0x00905820). on SunOS 4.1.4. Happily I can say there is only one small change so I'm not going to even try to generate all the associated noise you'd expect. The function

Slow on SunOS 4.1.4 (Eudora mailer)
I have a problem with __extremely__ slow performance using the Eudora mailtool. Both the executables and the mailbox are on (different) Samba servers. I have played with all the combinations of placements for executables and mailbox, and what it amounts to is that the slowness happens with the mailbox on a SunOS 4.1.4 Samba server. It doesn't happen on a Solaris based Samba server. As an

R-beta: trouble compiling 0.62.3 on SunOS 4.1.4: lgamma conflicts
I've recently tried to get 0.62.3 up on our Suns (4.1.4, using gcc; I'm also having trouble with a Solaris 2.6 compile but I haven't given up hope on that one yet) -- the last compile I did was 0.61.1, which worked smoothly. Running ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apps/R/R-0.62.3 [--with-g77] (tried both with and without g77, eventually get to the same place), I get a conflict

sunos 4.1.4 Makefile and regex.[ch] fix
Hi, At the office, there is an old ss5 box running sunos 4.1.4. I have configured openssh using gcc on this machine. In doing so, I found a few compilation and configuration problems. 1. Compilation Problem. SunOS 4.1.4 doesn't have regex.h header nor the entry points regex.c is supposed to offer. Solution. Copy regex.c and regex.h from, say, GNU awk distribution to the openssh directory

ssh_SSLeay_add_all_algorithms()
I am confused on how ssh_SSLeay_add_all_algorithms() get used in the ssh applications for openssh-5.7p1 and later releases. I don't see any of the applications making calls to ssh_SSLeay_add_all_algorithms(). There is a macro that redefines SSLeay_add_all_algorithms() to ssh_SSLeay_add_all_algorithms() but I don't see any code calling SSLeay_add_all_algorithms(). In openssh-5.6p1 and
