Stubbing authentication across multiple controllers
Hi, I''m new to RSpec, so I''m not too sure of the best practises in stubbing. I was thinking along the lines of including a helper method that would stub out a users id and posts to sessions/create. It works fine when speccing SessionsController, but of course it fails when it is included into other controllers specs, because of the post. I''ve tried posting to an

[login_generator] implementing login limits
I have a simple Rails app that I am close to deploying on our intranet. The security model is "either you are an admin or your are not," with the method of implementing this model being done by the login_generator 1.1.0. There is one account set up, ''admin'', with three of us having the ability to logon with this username (i.e. we know the password). I am looking to

MemoryStore
When using memoryStore for sessions I notice that ''new_session''=true and consequently the session id is changing every POST. If I change the session store to PStore the hash ''new_session''=false and the session data is maintained across POSTs. Any ideas on how I can use memoryStore (and set new_session=false) so I can maintain session information across POSTs?

Help needed: Sessions and memoryStore
Hi, I could really use some help in understanding why, when using memoryStore, the ''new_session'' value is always set to true for every request. This isn''t the case when using Pstore. With the ''new_session'' = true, the data I have set in the session gets lost. Is there a way I can set the ''new_session'' = false so I can preserve the

Non-Erubis Templates
Trunk Issue: Because of the use of ''autoload'', template handlers other than Erubis are not loaded automatically (Haml, XMLBuilder). Either this should be fixed, or the documentation should be updated to instruct people how to use non-Erb template engines. Apparently the solution is to do something like this in merb_init.rb: ::Merb::AbstractController.register_engine

comments on HAML ?
I have been asked a couple of times at job interviews if I am familiar with HAML or Liquid so I was wondering if maybe I should start using them and perhaps it would make the views easier to work with. If I install HAML on a machine where my app is that has alot of regular HTML in the .erb views already, will it still work with those or do I need to convert everything to HAML ? Can I have some
