wine explorer /desktop doesn't work the first time
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
If I do:
rm -r ~/.wine/
wineprefixcreate
wine explorer /desktop=default,1200x900 winemine
Then winemine opens in its own window. It does not open inside a fake
desktop, which is what explorer /desktop is supposed to do. However, if I
close winemine and run the same command again
wine explorer /desktop=default,1200x900 winemine
I get the correct

Linux and Samba Code
Here is an executable that would allow a user to change the linux and
SMB passwords simultaneously.
The website indicated in the comments had some problems in the code, but
they are fixed in the cpasswd.c file which is below and also attached.
Hope that this helps others. The code is a fix, not a solution. it only
works from the command prompt, but it helps with keeping linyx and Samba

smbd to authenticate via pam modules
Hi,
I have a simple setup with pam modules to use kerberos authentication
(heimdal kdc) for various services, i.e. ssh/scp/sftp, ftp and others. I
would like to connect my standalone smbd (no AD membership) to this
system, but have problems to force smbd to use pam.
local smbpasswd works
spnego + kerberos works with a ticket
but
pam modules are not accessed at all
In my test setup, local samba

quote supression
To creat a series of plots I've constructed the following, however this
doesn't work because the colnames being feed into n are embraced by quotes
which is stuffing up the plotting function. Is there a way to suppress to
quotes? coercion in to a different format??
for (n in colnames(tt[7:36]))
{
par(ask=T)
attach(tt)
plot(july~n)
...
}

Silence supression
Hello all!
First of all, this is my first post to the list. I've tried to find my
answers in the forums and by Googling , but no luck. My apologies if this
question has been answered before.
I've set up an Asterisk box with four local SIP users. The Asterisk box uses
a SIP provider for placing external calls and receiving incoming calls as
well. In other words, there's no PSTN

New password echoes on Sol8
I tried replacing readpassphrase() for v2.9.9p2 on Sol8 with a different
version that just calls getpassphrase(). It appears to solve the echo
problem when the user tries to login in interactive mode and needs to
change their password.
Can anyone else try this with v2.9.9p2 on Solaris? Be sure to add:
#define HAVE_GETPASSPHRASE
... to config.h when compiling (since it's not a configurable

"User child pid" logging
Hi!
It would be easier to trace a connection in the logs if sshd reported
the change of pid with LogLevel set to verbose instead of debug2. Is
it possible to have it changed?
Regards
Claes Leufv?n
Here is a patch for it:

broken link on http://us1.samba.org/samba/docs/SambaIntro.html
Hi there,
My name is Angelica and I was just checking out your page at http://us1.samba.org/samba/docs/SambaIntro.html and noticed that the the link to the Dilbert site on http://www.unitedmedia.com/comics/dilbert/ isn't working. I'm a Dilbert fan myself :) so I thought I'd mention a page I have bookmarked: http://www.answerconnect.com/articles/dilbert-fans It has a bunch of

Controlling Cisco 7960 Ringtone from Asterisk
I'm trying to change the ring tone on my 7960 from the dialplan. I've
tried the example on the wiki but it doesn't seem to work. Something like:
exten => 3010,1,SetVar(ALERT_INFO=<Bellcore-dr1>) ; selects Ringer
exten => 3010,2,Dial(SIP/3010,15)
I'm not sure what the Bellcore-dr1 ringer is supposed to be. I've tried
replacing ALERT_INFO with another ring tone

I looked all over the CentOS site for the RSS link and could not find it.
I would subscribe to it, if I could.

Hi:
I have a Dockerfile, which builds an image which installed R 3.3.2 in
Ubuntu 14.04, but building using that Dockerfile seems to have stopped
working and I am unclear why.
I believe the relevant error is:

R graphics with Linux (libpng)
Hello,
I'm trying to adapt some R code that works on Windows so that it will work
on a Linux machine.
The command :
png("myFile.png", width=600, height=600)
fails claiming that it is impossible to establish a connection with X11.
(Error messages are in French, so I'm not pasting them here!)
I have libpng installed:
>rpm -qa libpng*
libpng-1.0.12-2

Non-interactive sessions
Greetings,
Quick Summary: How does R function non-interactively? I can't print
graphics to an X11 window.
I set up what appears to be called a "noninteractive" R session using
the Perl code at the end of this message. Everthing seems to work fine
as written. I get a nice postscript file with my graphics.
However, I would like to display X11 R-graphics for the Perl-script

phab unit tests + libcxx tests w/concurrency
I think it may make sense to segregate the libcxx lit tests that expect a
task to be completed in a particular threshold. Either they should move to
the llvm test-suite or they should be under a feature guard that omits them
from the default test target. These tests are sensitive to the load and/or
capability of the target on which they're tested. I appreciate that it's
likely
