Trusted HP-UX 10.26
I haven't noticed any work on Trusted HP-UX 10.26 in the archives (then
again maybe I missed it). I have made changes to get sshd working on
trusted HP-UX, ssh already worked. I can supply a patch, but before I did I
was wondering if it is best to send the patch to this list, or file it as a
bug report? The patch is just around 6k, and includes changes to
configure.ac and acconfig.h, allong

HP-UX PAM with Trusted System patch
I'm fairly new to the list and new to submitting patches. Can someone
please verify the attached patch for running a HP-UX Trusted System with
PAM and OpenSSH 3.4p1? The problem seemed to be that pam couldn't verify
the user via __pamh after the call to permanently_set_uid in session.c.
So I called do_pam_session prior to the call and added a function
do_pam_set_tty in order to set the

When will the next rev be released?
I need the version with this bugfix:
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=182 . ("ssh should still force
SIGCHLD to be SIG_DFL when calling ssh-rand-helper")
It is apparently in the next release. Anyone have an estimate of when it
will be released?

HP-UX 10.20 assistance
To Whomever can assist,
I am looking for anyone who has gotten OpenSsh 3.7.1p2 to build under
HP-UX 10.20. I am working with the latest gcc (v. 3.3.1), gmake (v. 3.80),
and Openssl (0.9.7c) and I still can not get OpenSsh to build properly.
It errors out on the build process with a:

SCO Openserver Patch
I downloaded the Openssh-2.3.0p1 file and ran configure only to have it
fail reporting the lack of libz. I found that configure was failing
beacuse the test program did not include the libtinfo and libm which are
needed to resolve references in libprot. I made changes to the configure
script to add those libraries for SCO Openserver and then tried to compile
the programs only to run into another

any HP-UX 10.26 out there?
Anyone have access to a HP/UX 10.26 machine that could test a small patch?
I want to commit a patch for OpenServer 6 that adds SECUREWARE support
for the OpenServer 6 SVR5 ABI. The changes affect one platform I do not
have access to (HP-UX 10.26). The change in question is

OpenSSH 2.4.0 patch call..
I spoke with Markus before Christmas (I hope all your holidays were better
then mine.. But that's another topic. Car are evil.=) and he would like
to release 2.4.0 in the very near future.
Is there any undisputed patches still out not applied to the current
portable CVS tree? (BTW, I just applied the getrlimit patch from
Corinna.)

Testing Call
Ok.. I'm starting official testing calls early this release. I'd like to
have more feedback and more time for handling fixes.
If people could test snapshots (http://www.openssh.org/portable.html, pick
your favorate mirror and select snapshots directory) and report failures
it would be useful.
For those with pmake install there is regress/ which you can try out. It
may help any platform

Call Quality Issues With 2 Trixbox's - Router Issue?
Hello Everyone,
We have recently installed a pair of Trixbox servers in for a client of our. They have two locations, with one server each. The servers terminate 3 standard POTS lines into a Sangoma A200D card. The servers are IBM x3250 1RU servers (1GB Ram, Raid 1 160GB HDD, Dual Core Xenon Processors). We are using Trixbox 2.2, and G729 all around.
Each site has two (2) 512k/512k ADSL

Source Based Call Routing
Hi List,
I have a scenario that I want to try out (we potential have a client who would need this), but I am as of yet unable to find much help with it.
What we want to do is have an asterisk box with a large number of extensions (1000+). This asterisk box will have approximately 3 SIP trunks setup back to providers. What we want to do is to be able to define groups of extensions that use

Expired passwords & PAM
Currently, OpenSSH prints the message:
"Warning: You password has expired, please change it now"
if the password has expired. It would be nice if the user could/had to
change password before continuing, like with Linux console login. I've
tried to make an patch, but it doesn't work. Ideas?

Call for testers.
http://bass.directhit.com/openssh_snap/
Starting tonight I plan on tracking changes very closely with the OpenBSD
tree. I need people to test the latest snapshot (9/14 at of right now)
and report success or failure on compiling.
I am starting this now because we are looking at a code freeze soon and I
really want to ensure it compiles and runs on all existing platforms. So

SCO OpenServer password issue
If SCO OpenServer is configured for large passwords, i.e. u_pwseg is
greater than 1 in /etc/auth/system/default, then user authentication in
auth-passwd.c will fail for users whose passwords are longer than 8
characters. The "traditional" level of security installs with
u_pwseg#1, so most users would never encounter this problem. This has
been an issue in openssh since I started using

[Bug 192] monitor.c:545: undefined reference to `auth_password with USE_PAM on
http://bugzilla.mindrot.org/show_bug.cgi?id=192
------- Additional Comments From mouring at eviladmin.org 2002-03-28 04:04 -------
If I understand the PAM code (none of the PRIVSEP code has been made to work
with it right now) one should never called auth_password() they should
be calling auth_pam_password()..
So in mm_answer_authpassword() function it should look something like this
