-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Greetings, I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask these question, if I am at the wrong place please advise. I am currently working on some modifications to openssh which record the users rsa/dsa identity comment file to a log file when the user logs in (password authentication is disabled). The ssh1 portion of the modification works

Tunneling as a non-root user
I?m setting up a Linux machine (CentOS7) and am trying to allow tap/tun tunneling. Our organization?s security policy prohibits root logins. Using OpenSSH server 7.4 (as provided by the CentOS repositories) non-root users are able to open tunnels as long as the sshd_config has The setting UsePrivilegeSeparation=no. All is well, but I wonder what security risks I am taking by disabling the

Spearman correlation ties and discrepancies
Hi. I am currently trying to run some Spearman correlations, and have encountered two issues. 1) When using cor.test() with a variable that includes ties, I get the "Cannot compute exact p-values with ties" error. I have read that this function now uses an asymptotic formula that allows for ties, so do not understand why I am getting this error. (I am running version 2.4.0.) I

sshd: DES in SSH1 ?
I see that commercial SSH version it is possible to run sshd in SSH1 using DES (i.e, accepting SSH-DES clients). I understand from Damien Miller that Cisco routers also run in only SSH1 DES mode. Is it possible in openSSH to configure sshd (compile-time/runtime) to run sshd in SSH1 or SSH2 mode and accept SSH1 or SSH2 DES clients ? [I would like to be able to run sshd in SSH1/DES mode ] Is

matrix of 1,0's to a data.frame of factors
Hi, I have an integer matrix consisting of 1's and 0's and I would like to convert this to a data.frame where each column of the matrix becomes a factor variable. Now, some columns of the matrix have only 1's or only 0's as a result there is only 1 level for those columns in the data.frame. However it is required that each factor have 2 levels. So my solution is: m <-

Asterisk + ISDN BRI - gateway or card?
Hi All, Has anyone had experiences with Asterisk and ISDN Gateways or cards? I am looking to setup a home phone system using asterisk and am looking to convert my two existing no's to a single isdn2e line. I was wandering if anyone could recommend which is better to use with asterisk - ISDN Card or gateway? also which brands are best with linux/asterisk? I have used eicon BRI cards for

No remapping of clone instruction in CloneBasicBlock
Hi, Found CloneBasicBlock utility only does the cloning without any remapping. Consider below example: Input block: sw.epilog: ; preds = %sw.bb20, %sw.bb15, %sw.bb10, %sw.bb6, %sw.bb2, %sw.bb, %while.body, %if.end29 %no_final.1 = phi i32 [ %no_final.055, %while.body ], [ 1, %if.end29 ], [ %no_final.055, %sw.bb20 ], [ %no_final.055, %sw.bb15 ], [

[non-statistics question]methodological problem
Good afternoon! As mentioned in the subject, my question regards more the methodological part that accompanies survey design and the statistical part that is involved. So, I have the following data: a<-data.frame (id_hh=c(1:5), strata=c(1,1,2,2,1), Nhstrata=c(100,100,200,200,100), Nrmemb=c(2,4,2,5,4)) a$ocmemb1<-c("wk","jl","st","jl","st")

SSH1 vs. SSH2 - compression level
Hello, I was searching for this information virtually everywhere, but as I couldn't find it - I'm asking here. I was wondering, why setting the Compression Level was removed in SSH2, and if on, is always set to 6. In SSH1 it was possible to set the Compression Level from 1 to 9. I have made some tests with Compression Levels using scp: SSH1, compression 9 (highest available for

suggestion for syslog messages
To allow easier targeting of users of old protocols I would find it useful for the syslog "Accepted" messages to be more uniform. 1. Include the string "ssh1" for ssh1 connections as is done for ssh2 connections. 2. Change the "publickey" message for ssh2 connections to specify which publickey, "dsa" or "rsa". This is already the case for
