Hello list, I see through the archives that some people here use 3ware RAID controllers with Centos. I have picked up two 9500S-4LP controllers for future servers. I was hoping that if some people could please share their 3ware monitoring scripts with the rest of the group. What I am really hoping to do is have some setup where a cron job runs scripts to test each of the drives connected to the

CentOS is a really great product, and the package supporters do a bang up job, but the one deficiency I've found is the fact that one can never rely on being able to get updates at any particular time. Whether it's CentOS proper or the Dag additions, something is broke most every time I want to apply updates. I know this is whin[ge]ing, and I certainly don't have a solution to offer.

I have been using kernel from centosplus for a few months. It quite stable and have support for my TV card and ntfs partitions. However, after the last yum update, kernel 2.6.9-34 from the update repo has been installed with all other updated packages. In fact, i still have kernel 2.6.9-22.106.unsupport on my system but whenever i use this kernel, the cupsd can not start. Can anyone tell me

I am trying to hook up linux to an LCD 1333x768 LCD TV. XP in 1024x768 show up just fine. X does not. I have set the screen preferences to 1024x768. After updating to centos 4.3, I notice a failure in terminating irqbalance whenever i shutdown the system.
