'ssh -f' option, interoperability with ssh v2.3.0
i'm trying to use the ssh command's -f option with OpenSSH v2.1.1p4 on linux (RedHat v6.2). this option doesn't seem to be working properly on my system - the specified is run succesfully but it isn't put to the background. is this a known problem? also, OpenSSH doesn't seem to interoperate with SSH Communications Security's ssh v2.3.0 (apparently because of different

Another round of testing calls.
Outside the known 'Hang-on-exit' bug and the Solaris 'PAM_TTY_KLUDGE' required. *WHAT* other issues *MUST* be address before 3.0 which is approaching fast? Those running NeXTStep I need conformation that it works under NeXT. networkinterface type proposal
Hi - I''ve searched around and haven''t found anyone who''s implemented a type+provider for configuring network interfaces in puppet. Does anyone have such a thing already running that''s just not on forge / github? I found some prior art (aside from the old ''interface'' type which was deleted in 0.24) but most people seem to use definitions +

[PATCH 0/3] kinit: Allow mount options
This patch series allows user-specified mount commands to be sent in via kernel command line ("kinit_mount=...") or via an embedded /etc/fstab file. The first patch is a cleanup of a patch sent last November by San Mehat (http://web.archiveorange.com/archive/v/EazJNBMORV2U7E0coh5h); the next two are small improvements or bug fixes.

still unable to add new nodes?
I updated to 0.22.3-1 from the dlutter repo (CentOS 4.4) and I''m still having trouble adding new nodes as others saw from the previous version, though I believe the error is different now. The procedure I used was: <client> /etc/init.d/puppet once -v <server> /usr/sbin/puppetca --sign nodename <client> /etc/init.d/puppet once -v This used to work for new nodes, now I

New snapshot
I have just uploaded a new snapshot to: http://www.mindrot.org/misc/openssh/openssh-SNAP-20001114.tar.gz This snapshot includes Markus Friedl's new SSH2 RSA authentication work and -R portforwarding for SSH2. Please give these a good test. The new RSA authentications works similar to the current SSH2 DSA keys, but requires a little modification to config files. Currently RSA key cannot be

stepwise regression-fitting all possible models
Dear All, I am new to R and I would like to do the following: I want to fit a logistic model with 3 predictors and then perform a stepwise regression to select the best possible model using either the AIC/BIC criterion. I have used the stepAIC function which works fine but using this method only likely candidates are evaluated (i.e. not all the models are fitted). We should have 2^3=8 possible

IDEA support
hello! one thing i'd like to see in OpenSSH is (optional) IDEA algorith support. this would be useful especially in an environment which has a mix of old ssh v1.2.x and OpenSSH installations. according to Ascom non commercial use of IDEA is free (http://www.ascom.com/infosec/idea.html). also, there are countries (e.g. Finland) where IDEA is not patented. here's a patch suggestion for IDEA

X11 forwarding problem -- openssh-3.5p1 -- redhat 8.0 -- linux 2.4.18
All, I'm working on upgrading a machine from RH 6.2 to RH 8.0. I've encountered one major (for me) snag in that I cannot get X11 forwarding to work anymore. I've been google-ing the error messages all morning, with no luck. Here is debugging output from the server (client debugging output sent upon request... I don't feel it is relevant). What I feel is interesting is at the

Hi Mike, If you're doing this for Clang's benefit, I think the best thing to do is to compile LLVM PIC (the default) and then build the clang front- end pieces with -mdynamic-no-pic. Does

[LLVMdev] Building 64-bit libraries on OS X
Hi, how do I compile LLVM for 64-bit on OS X? I want to get 64-bit libraries which generate x86_64 to link them into a 64-bit application. All my attempts ended up with either 32-bit libraries or errors. My machine is an Intel Xeon quad core, 'sysctl hw.cpu64bit_capable' returns 1 so I think the machine is fine. - './configure && make' yields 32-bit libraries and
