Hello All, I've written basic support for creating AIX native packages (ie installp/SMIT installable .bff's) that lives in contrib/aix. It is based on Ben Lindstrom's Solaris buildpkg.sh. When I try to log in to the SWAT tool, it does not accept the password of any userid that I try with, including root. Hi, The line grabbing the version out of version.h is slightly broken in 3.1p1: VERSION=`tail -1 ../../version.h | sed [.....] because there's an extra blank line at the end of version.h. The following is a patch (svn diff) for the R CMD build script that calculates exclude patterns after the tar/untar step rather than before. The perl find() function, used in the calculation of the exclude patterns, ignores symlinks, which meant that directory symlinks were not considered for exclusion. Since the tar/untar step resolves (copies) symlinks, this works around that limitation.
