[PATCH] openssh - loginrec.c - Non-atomic file operations.
Hi all. I rewrited lastlog_openseek function. Now is little more atomic when file operations on lastlog file happens. For more details why separate stat and open isn't so safe please take a look at: http://www.akkadia.org/drepper/defprogramming.pdf Have nice day Robin Hack -------------- next part -------------- diff --git a/loginrec.c b/loginrec.c index 4219b9a..281d650 100644 ---

lastlog_get_entry error on IRIX
Precedence: bulk Hi, I'm getting the error: sshd[71835]: lastlog_get_entry: Error reading from /var/adm/lastlog: Error 0 from openssh 2.1.1p4 on IRIX (6.5.8m). Looks like there's some confusion about /var/adm/lastlog being a directory and not a file on IRIX. ./configure says: checking for lastlog... no checking if your system defines LASTLOG_FILE... no but I still gets the error

[2.1.1p4] utmp related patches plus unresolved bugs description
Fixed: -- On systems such as SunOS4 where the system include files are no help in locating the utmp file (et al.), configure can define their location in CONF_*, but defines.h never used these. -- Might as well put in the usual location for SunOS4. -- In loginrec.c (utmp_write_direct), writing to the utmp file was not done correctly. Follow-on to Charles Levert's <charles at comm.polymtl.ca> work on utmp_write_direct. Fixed: -- At logout, the utmp entry is cleared. Tested on SunOS 4.1.4. The code I added to loginrec.c is restricted to SUNOS4 pending QA testing on other platforms. This patch incorporates the work done by Charles Levert on 7/25/2000 00:43:22. (Do any of us sleep at

wtmpx problem on Solaris 8 sparcv9 (64bit) environment
Hello When I was using OpenSSH-2.9p2 in Solaris 8 sparcv9 (64bit) environment, I found some trouble that wtmpx has broken. The size of utmpx structure object becomes larger than 32 bit environment in sparcv9 environment. Therefore, instead of using utmpx structure object, using futmpx structure object is better. In sparcv9 environment, futmpx structure object is used instead of utmpx structure

OpenSSH 2.2.0p1 port to QNX 4
Dear OpenSSH porting developers, finally I succeded in porting OpenSSH to QNX 4. To get things going I had to take over some definitions from Linux' include files, since they are not available under QNX (e.g. the howmany makro, NFDBITS, the lastlog structure). With this email I send a patch with all my changes as well as the file "qnx-term.h" which I created because IXANY and

PATCH: UseLogin fix for 2.9p1 (w/improved last-login time)
Attached is the latest version of my UseLogin patch that makes "UseLogin true" work on Solaris and UNICOS. As usual, I have provided configure.in changes that set the appropriate defines for Solaris, but I have not provided the configure.in changes for UNICOS (since they would be incomplete, and Wendy is working on this). This version fixes a problem with the last-login time always

Resend: loginrec.c patch
I'm resending this patch just in case it got lost. The first hunk of the patch fixes a problem with the LOGIN_NEEDS_UTMPX support in that the date was not being set in the logininfo structure (causing wrong timestamps in the "last" log). The second hunk just omits the USE_WTMPX code in the LOGIN_NEEDS_UTMPX section if USE_UTMPX is defined. This prevents duplicate events in the

One more UseLogin tweak
One other thing I noticed in the record_utmp_only() function is that it wasn't setting the timestamp in the logininfo structure. The following patch takes care of this: --- old/loginrec.c Wed Jun 6 11:12:14 2001 +++ loginrec.c Wed Jun 6 11:13:42 2001 @@ -448,6 +448,8 @@ login_utmp_only(struct logininfo *li) { li->type = LTYPE_LOGIN; + /* set the timestamp */ +

[PATCH] 64 bit clean compilation patches
Hello All, Attached is a patch against the portable openssh sources found at openssh at anoncvs.at.openbsd.org:/cvs. The majority of the size of the patch comes from changes to the build system to supply the required format specifications if they are not provided by the OS. These patches remove the following warnings found during a 64-bit compile: hostfile.c: In function

HP-UX 10.20 assistance
To Whomever can assist, I am looking for anyone who has gotten OpenSsh 3.7.1p2 to build under HP-UX 10.20. I am working with the latest gcc (v. 3.3.1), gmake (v. 3.80), and Openssl (0.9.7c) and I still can not get OpenSsh to build properly. It errors out on the build process with a: loginrec.c:1405: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type cing pointer to incomplete type loginrec.c:1514:
