[Bug 80] Host key conflict with two servers on one IP

This "HostKeyAlias" business seems like a flimsy excuse for not implmeenting a
feature that users want. In this age of ubiquitous firewalls and NAT, it is NOT
reasonable to assume that two ports on the same IP address refer to the same
host, or to the

[Bug 89] New: [PATCH] make the Waiting for forwarded connecti ons to terminate... message more helpful
Shouldn't that acutally pull the value of EscapeChar out of the users
environment (and possibly default to the old message if they don't have one
defined at all)?
Thanks,

One of two samba servers not visible (remote announce problem?)
I have (more than) three subnets:
A: all unix (I think)
B: mixed unix and PC's
C: all PC's (I think)
I have a samba server on both A and B. They have
essentially identical configurations. Both are running
the nmbd daemon, and are configured as
workgroup = XXSAMBA.
I have a PC on C. Both net view /domain:XXSAMBA
and network neighborhood show only the server on B.
I assumed that

Block ssh logins for specific hostnames (CNAMES) all bound to same IP ???
Hi,
I'm interested in the ability to block ssh logins (or alternatively, not
have sshd answer client requests) for certain hostnames that are DNS CNAME
aliases to the canonical name for a given IP address.
To tell you the truth, I don't think this is currently possible through this
setup, and may look further to try to block it at the firewall, but that's a
different discussion... :)
