(OT): Horde initial SQL setup
I haven't been able to find anything useful on the horde sites,
and I haven't found anything useful with 'yum search'.
I am trying to set up horde webmail using the PEAR install on a new
CentOS 5 system intending to migrate existing horde-3.x sites to horde-4.x.
The PEAR installation procedure asked for the database type, db name, and
password. I had not created the mysql

boot order with Xen domxml
Hey Virtualeers,
When using domxml to configure a Xen domain, where is the meta spec for boot order?
Before domxml, using xen-xm, this was easy:
boot = 'dca' ; 1-CD | 2-HD | 3-floppy
When I try adding this below with Virsh (vi), it is erased in Xen domains
<boot dev='hd'>
In KVM domains it is accepted.

Stuck with dovecot-sieve and horde-ingo ...
Hello, dovecot-users ...
as you may read at
http://lists.horde.org/archives/horde/Week-of-Mon-20090706/037786.html
I am stuck getting dovecot-sieve working with the ingo-application of
the horde-framework.
To me it seems as if ingo doesn't even trigger any request/command to
managesieve ... I set "mail_debug=yes" in the managesieve-section of
dovecot.conf but don't see any

anyone running with Horde mail?
Hey again folks ;-)
Seems my auth is working afterall when I telnet to the IMAP port.
But darned if I can get it working with Horde web mail. Is anyone out
there doing this just first of all to confirm to me that the
combination works OK.
I don't care so much about shadow auth since apparantly my pam auth is
working just fine.
thanks,
-Alan

cacti on centos
Hi all,
I'm trying to get Cacti installed on my CentOS 4.3 x86_64 box. I've
got all of required packages installed, and created database file, and
followed all the instructions in install manual.
However, when I get login screen and use admin for username/password,
it simply redirects me straight back to login screen. Looking at
user_log table, the authentication was

has anybody gotten horde working?
Hi,
Horde seems to be quite the problem child. It sorta kinda looks like
session handling is entirely broken.
kronolith will let me in, but not for long. Then I get "invalid token"
and am bounced back to the home screen.
imp won't let me in at all. This behavior is completely broken: I get
a log in screen and a message in /var/log/messages about not being
authorized for IMP (which

perhaps my mind isn't working today.
I'm trying to update a system that hasn't been updated in a while which
I believe is CentOS 5.2 but it's possible that it's 5.1. I am pretty

virsh define function question
Hi,
How do I view the libvirt virsh domxml-to-native function implementation? I think this function contains some error.
Because we use libvirt to manage some host and vms on vmware hypervisor.
We use openenbula generate a template for libvirt ,such as my attachment windows2008.xml.
but when i use domxml-to-native to convert xml file to vmware config file vmx as below. This may not be

CentOS Plus PHP5 upgrade.
Hi Folks,
I have some users who have a 64-bit CentOS 4.x install (current),
which was installed with @Everything and then some annoying packages
strategically removed (mrtg, pegasus*, mailman...) and they have
decided they have a need for php5.
I find on the web this instruction for doing this:
http://www.centos.org/centos/4/centosplus/Readme.txt
So I try to do this, and I get:

Building PHP PECL modules
I'm attempting to build some PECL modules on fully updated CentOS 4.2
system. Preferably pack them into nice RPM packages. However, seems
I'm missing something. For example, this is what I get for sqlite module:

`phpize' failed
The php-devel package is installed (so I do have phpize command). It's
just that it is failing. If I unpack the

[libvirt] SRIOV configuration
Hello,
We encountered a problem while testing SRIOV on kubevirt [1]:
We are currently using the Device "hostdev" generic options to
pass-through the VF to the guest.
It is not done through the "interface" (with type hostdev) because
that option requires access to the PF which is not available in our
case (the VF is moved to the container namespace where libvirt runs,

Horde framework from CentOS Extras
Hi!
Anyone of you running the Horde framework applications from CentOS
Extras RPM install? Since yesterday's security update I can no longer
safe the application's configuration from withing the browser
administration. For each required setting with a dropdown menu the
dialog claims that I missed to make a selection, while of course I did.
Just to note: yes, the filesystem permissions for

e.g. write an libvirt xml and dump the final qemu line without running it.
is there a way to do so?
Thanks,

Building XML from working qemu command-line for ARM virtio
Hello,
I've got a working QEMU command line that I am trying to get into a libvirt dom xml and using domxml-from-native doesn't seem to know how to handle all of it.
It's for ARM using some new virtio syntax:
qemu-system-arm -machine virt -cpu cortex-a15 -enable-kvm -m 512 -kernel mach-virt-guest-3.11-zImage -display none -serial stdio -netdev type=user,id=mynet -device
