They ***may*** have been created from my attempts to start mysqld which isn't working (I will start another thread) but no efforts to kill them off are working...

mysqld not starting on reboot
Hi; I installed mysql using yum, so I have an /etc/init.d/mysqld file. For some reason, however, mysqld doesn't boot on reboot of the machine. Please advise. [LLVMdev] DataStructure Analysis ds-aa can not stop when passing mysqld
Quoting Chris Lattner <clattner at apple.com>: Dear staff, I am using the ds-aa to pass mysqld. I compile mysqld 4.0.12 statically (compile all libraries statically to the executable) and got the bc file, named it as mysqld.bc3. I use the command to pass: opt -load <poolalloc install dir>/lib/libLLVMDataStructure.so -ds-aa mysqld.bc3 -print-alias-sets -disable-output

Hello CentOS users, for a Wordpress website I have installed mysql-server-5.1.69-1.el6_4.x86_64 and run /usr/bin/mysql_secure_installation on a CentOS 6.4 machine with mucho RAM (32 GB) and I wonder, what would be the best place for the mysqld parameters descibed at http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/server-parameters.html mysqld_safe --key_buffer_size=64M --table_open_cache=256 \

pgadmin3
Anyone been able to get pgadmin3 installed on CentOS-4 ? The WxGTK2 stuff makes it impossible for me to get installed from RPM/SRPM from their site and likewise, couldn't rebuild from Fedora SRPMS either. I figure between Jim and Owen and ???, somebody might have succeeded where I would be doomed. I can get around with phppgadmin but pgadmin3 is pretty cool. Thanks Craig

No connection to mysqld
Hi. I started mysqld.exe using Wine and it seems to work. But when I try to connect the server seems to answer somehow (connection is established, telnet works) but it seems that no communication takes place. mysql freezes and in telnet no response is shown. Any idea what this could mean? Running in Windows without an installer works so it has to be some problem with wine somehow. Using Ubuntu

Authentification Dovecot + Samba4
Hello list, I am struggling with setting up dovecot 2.1.7 with samba 4.1.2 on debian wheezy. Dovecot should authenticate via LDAP, but I?cannot get it to work reliably. Sometimes auth works, sometimes not. Referals are already activated in ldap.conf ? LDAP-authentication works fine with other clients (Apache Directory Studio, ?)? Has somebody got a similar setup running? I would love some hints

Suddenly Windows clients can't join Samba+ldap PDC anymore
Hi all, some years ago i configured a `Primary Domain Controller` through Samba and LDAP (slapd) on an Ubuntu machine (13.10) at 192.168.69.203 which should be accessible by the string/name `SRV1`. I must note i did not installed winbind. I've never had any issue and it looks like it's working fine as about 10 Windows machines joined the PDC and Windows users can login against PDC on

Suddenly Windows clients can't join Samba+ldap PDC anymore
Hi, thanks a lot for the tips. I already did the first one, importing the following into the registry: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanManWorkstation\Parameters] "DomainCompatibilityMode"=dword:00000001 "DNSNameResolutionRequired"=dword:00000000 I didn't do the second tip but it looks like it's not
