2.1.1p1 Timestamp problem?
I've been running OpenSSH for quite some time now, and I have been acting more as the point man in making the builds for LinuxPPC as well as distributing it to the Linux for the PowerPC community. Things have worked rather well, making it a straight rebuild of the package. However, a new problem was introduced with 2.1.1p1. It's not critical, but a little more than a simple annoyance.

zaptel/ssh interaction
I hope I don't get flamed the first time I post to a new list. I have spent a couple of hours poking around without seeing anything like this. The problem is, as soon as I load the Zaptel drivers (with a TDM-31B card), ssh into or out of the server is broken. Trying to ssh in, I get: RSA_public_decrypt failed: error:0407006A:rsa routines:RSA_padding_check_PKCS1_type_1:block type is not 01

Openssh-2.5.1p1 and Solaris 2.6 problem with ssh_rsa_verify
We recently upgraded from an older version of SSH to OpenSSH 2.5.1p1 (OpenSSH_2.5.1p1, SSH protocols 1.5/2.0, OpenSSL 0x0090600f) and are having problems on just a few hosts in our environment. The other 200 systems are working fine. Every once in a blue-moon it will connect with version 2. When I try to connect to or from one of these hosts using SSH2 I get the following error (I have sshd -d

sshd doesn't log which RSA key was used
Hi guys, and another feature request for sshd which I would classify as really useful. And I think this behaviour is currently not available (If yes, sorry, I must have missed it): > I believe that the sshd should log which RSA key was used to connect to > an account. SSH_RSA_MINIMUM_MODULUS_SIZE
Hi, is there any chance to make SSH_RSA_MINIMUM_MODULUS_SIZE configurable? I keep receiving these messages: ssh_rsa_verify: RSA modulus too small: 512 < minimum 768 bits key_verify failed for server_host_key And it's quite a hassle to recompile each time I need to use it (there are still devices where you can't fix it easily). Thanks Michal

Hi, I just installed openSSH2.1.0 an a linux system and tried to connect to a server running an SSH2 server. Unfortunately I wasn't able to connect because of a signature error. I am connecting to the host for the first time. Does anybody know, why I have this problem and why I can't connect? Thanks, Stefan Mangard Here is the debug output: [smang at grad1 bin]$ ssh -2 -v

x509 patch for SSH

I have an openssh server running on solaris 7 and the client running on a clean RH linux 6.1 box. SSH-2.2.0 (for Windows) and OpenSSH-2.1.1p1
I just upgraded my Windows SSH client from the 2.1.x version (whatever it was) to 2.2.0 and am now experiencing difficulties connecting to my OpenSSH-2.1.1p1 Linux servers. I'm not as up-to-speed as I should be on the inner workings of the handshakes that go on, but from the debug logs and from trying different connection methods, it seems to be isolated to using publickeys. [LLVMdev] llvm DSA - reproduce the result in PLDI 07 paper
Dear John, I intend to implement the improvements on DSA. After running DSA on SPEC, I found DSA gives low precision for mcf and bzip2. I have checked the most imprecise c files in mcf an found that the code seems to be a mixture of "PHI" and "GEP" instructions. Could you please give me some hints about what the big picture of the improvement should be and how to start? Thank

Rails development on Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
Hi all, I would like to start a thread on RoR related issues on the new Intel version of Mac OS X. I have been using Apple''s new iMac Core Duo (which comes with Intel version of Mac OS X) for about a week now. Here''s my experience: Ruby 1.8.4: It compiles albeit with many warnings. Most warnings were about "differ in signedness". It seems to work okay

[PATCH] curve25519-sha256@libssh.org key exchange proposal
Dear OpenSSH developers, I've worked this week on an alternative key exchange mechanism, in reaction to the whole NSA leaks and claims over cryptographic backdoors and/or cracking advances. The key exchange is in my opinion the most critical defense against passive eavesdropping attacks. I believe Curve25519 from DJB can give users a secure alternative to classical Diffie-Hellman (with fixed
