The patches merely pass along the username in the utmpx record for a logout. Is there any reason why this would be a problem with other OSes? If not, maybe this could be rolled into the

Providing limited CRUD access to arbitrary tables through a web interface.
Hi There I''m starting Rails a project for the first time (used to work with PHP). I have to provide administrator ("super-user") access to a large number of tables. The access should be available through a web interface (the tables rendered as HTML forms on the browser, probably through HTML tables inside the form). From the CRUD set mostly R(etrieve) and U(pdate) are

Select not providing default option
Hello all. I am running Rails 1.0 and am having trouble with the select box. In the API it says. "Create a select tag and a series of contained option tags for the provided object and method. The option currently held by the object will be selected, provided that the object is available. See options_for_select for the required format of the choices parameter." and then goes on to

So here it is: Does anyone here provide a webdav remote access interface to the network? And if yes: what software are you using for it? I'm currently doing this on my network using davenport. Providing fallback DNS servers via DHCP
Hello everyone, TL;DR: Is ist possible to provide a secondary DNS (e.g. 8.8.8.8) via DHCP in addition to the gateway (in my case 10.0.1.1)? I use libvirt to manage all my qemu-based VMs. I have set up a local NAT-network which includes all my VMs (and some physical servers integrated via VPN). Everything works fine, but ocassionally, I have to restart the network (when I add instances for

[LLVMdev] providing llvm gcc built-in function implementation...
Let me explain briefly my issue: While working on my project ( OSX, llvh gcc 4.2), I run into the compilation error: " .. Undefined symbols for architecture x86_64: ___sync_bool_compare_and_swap_16", referenced from: ... " I decided that the function is declared, but not implemented for uint128_t. So, I implemented the function, and the code is working correctly. But the

Providing a dialtone
Hi, I see applications for signalling busy, congested, ringing, progress etc, which I understand can be provided either in or out of band. But all I want to do is generate a dialtone. This obviously can only be done in band. There is code for generating the tones when you have a physical line, like the alsa channel, or a zap channel. But I'm just thinking of if they've selected an option

Providing Ringback
Hello, We've had this problem happen twice with retail customers already and still have no solution. Basically there are times when customers can't get any ring at all. It happens that they call our switch and even though we are receiving ring from the carrier they hear no ring. We have even put a fake-ring(with Rr) back at their request and they are unable to get this ring either. The

Variable similar to %u but providing the username changed by a database lookup?
Hello, Variable %u may be used in dovecot.conf whenever the "full username" is needed. But the expansion of %u returns the username before a possible change performed thru a password or user database lookup (e.g., in the case of a SQL database, thru as "AS user" clause). Is there a variable that would expand to the changed name when used in the configuration file? TIA, Axel

The server is a PDC and when a user authenticates it maps the drive but the underlying folders are not accessible bye the user who is logged in. It says access denied. It seems to create a Virtual Share Point on the PDC,

Will *not* be providing RedHat 9 packages for Samba 3.0.25
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Folks, For the minority of people who still run RedHat 9 or earlier, I will not be building an RPM for Samba 3.0.25 for that platform. If someone wants to pickup maintenance of it, I'll be glad to turn it over. I will leave the RedHat-9 packaging files in for the 3.0.25pre2 release that we are currently working on, but unless I hear an outcry
