openssh 2.9p1 on Solaris 2.6 with AFS
Jan,
maybe I should check the /afs information that you pointed me at
in a subsequent email first, but I wanted to update you on what
happened following this path:
I did get some mileage out of both of your suggestions below,
but still did not make it through (now working with openssh-2.9p2):
gcc -o ssh ssh.o sshconnect.o sshconnect1.o sshconnect2.o sshtty.o
readconf.o clientloop.o -L.

OpenSSH 3.0p1+AFS+PAM on Solaris 8
Seems like AFS support uses a structure in ioctl.h that requires
sys/ioccom.h to be included beforehand. The following patch checks for
this header file, and makes sure it is included. I don't have the
latest auto* tools, so I hand-synthesized "configure"; hopefully this
doesn't mask typo's in its sources.

OpenSSH Compilation problems while enabling AFS support
Hi,
We are trying to compile OpenSSH with AFS support to enable password-less
login in a linux cluster.
We are getting the error mentioned at the bottom of this mail. Also,
included the information of other packages and the options used with
configure.
Please help us to sort out this issue.

Fix AFS and Kerberos interaction
Hello,
I going to use ssh with Kerberos V5 support along with support for AFS. I
don't want to use Kerberos V4 or AFS token passing. The only thing I need
from AFS is creating an AFS token (using appropriate function from krb5 API)
after user's authentication. It seems to me that such scenario is not much
supported by the current code. Rather it is assumed only Kerberos 4 will be
used

Solaris 2.6, and AFS
With the help of Jan Iven I have been able to compile openssh-2.9.9p2
on Solaris 2.6 with AFS/kerb4 support using gcc.
./configure --sysconfdir=/etc/ssh --with-tcp-wrappers \
--with-egd-pool=/var/run/egd-pool \
--with-kerberos4=/usr/athena --with-afs=/usr/afsws
to do this I modified the resulting Makefile,
from:
CPPFLAGS=-I. -I$(srcdir) -I/usr/local/ssl/include

Compile problem and fix
Hi
I use openssh-2.3.0p1 on Solaris-7, KTH-krb4-1.0.3, TransArc-AFS-3.6
# ../openssh-2.3.0p1/configure --prefix=/afs/eos.dk/sw/pack/openssh-2.3.0p1 --with-kerberos4=/afs/eos.dk/sw/pack/krb4-1.0.3 --with-afs --with-ssl-dir=/afs/eos.dk/sw/pack/openssl-0.9.6
To make it compile, I have to add the patch below to make
sshconnect1.c line 546 compile. It states:

Info on building OpenSSH on AIX in AFS?
Please pardon the repeat posting, here, but I hope to get better
response with a proper subject line.
I am attempting to build OpenSSH on AIX in AFS environment.
I've succeeded in building Zlib and OpenSSL, but OpenSSH
insists that it needs krb.h, kafs.h, and perhaps libkrb. I have
not found any of these on this AIX machine (nor on others I've
checked).
The INSTALL document seems to

OPenAFS and OpenSSH replacing kafs
Would OpenSSH be willing to accept a modification similar to the one
below to replace the kafs modification to get an AFS PAG and token?
The nice features of this are that it can be compiled in
even if OpenAFS is not available. At runtime if the
dynamic library is present, it can be loaded and called.
A dynamic lib is used so the setpag is in the same process.
It has been reported that the

documentation bugs (cvs) (PR#5543)
Hi,
Below I've flagged some sentences in the R documentation (from cvs)
which are garbled in some way. If anyone can clarify what these
sentences should say I'd be grateful.
The problems were picked up as part of the proof-reading of the R
manuals by Ciaran O'Riordan. After looking at the text neither of us
could figure out what the documentation was meant to say.

OpenSSH / Kerberos / AFS
I just wrote an email describing problems linking to libkafs in openssh
3/daily snap shot as of today, but I think I forgot to describe what the
problem was-
well first it says 'cannot find file or directory' on -lkafs, for some
reason it wasnt reading the directory even though- even though i added
the correct dir to ld.so.conf (linux)
so I cp'd the files to another directory where I

Problem compiling openssh on Solaris 2.6 with AFS-krb4
Heelo,
I'm trying to copmpile openssh-2.3.0p1 against KTH-KRB
dist. (ftp.pdc.kth.se/pub/krb/src) of kerberosIV and AFS 3.6. However, I
get two errors:
1. redifinition of types, conflicting with krb.h (which #includes
ktypes.h) - removing temporarily the u_int code from ktypes.h helped
2. send_afs_tokens() - in the sshconnect1.c show both problems, although
the redefinition problems occured

Bug in AFS token forwarding
There is a bug in the code for getting AFS tokens in function
send_afs_tokens() in sshconnect1.c
Here is how the bug manifests itself:
If I have an AFS token that is still valid _and_ one that was valid but
is now expired then AFS token forwarding ignores both tokens instead
of forwarding the still valid one.
I can reproduce this problem on Red Hat Linux 7.2 systems with
OpenSSH-3.4p1 (and
