Hello list! I am trying to get my chipdrive micro smartcard working with openssh. I read the README.smartcard, but i got stuck with sectok. It might be a little offtopic but i am totally stuck! After it compiled libsectok without the -Bforcearchive flag i tried to compile sectok: [root at box sectok-20020524]# make gcc -o sectok main.o cmds.o cyberflex.o ../libsectok/libsectok.a -lcrypto cmds.o:

contribution - pkcs11 smart card support
Hello, I have just finished development of PKCS#11 smartcard support into OpenSSH. It is based on existing approach implemented in sectok and OpenSC support. It means it supports private key stored on PKCS#11 device. I have developed it on Linux platform and tested on Windows using Cygwin and after some minor code cealn-up I'm ready to post a patch. Are you (especially maintaners)

Sneek peak at what was commited.
For those following the portable CVS tree.. I'd suggest holding off for a day or so unless you really want to get dirty. I just commited 32 patches from the OpenBSD tree, but have not worked out all the issues (due to Linux brain damage <sigh..Faster OpenBSD gets SMP..the happer I'll be>). The two things that need to be finished integrated in the configure.in is KRB5 and

Improper (?) OpenSSL version mismatch(was RE: OpenSSH_2.5.1p1 - RH 6.2)
Well, I've finally gotten around to compiling and testing OpenSSH 2.5.2p1, in order to update the contrib/solaris packaging scripts. Somehow on my test system, I'm getting errors that indicate that I've still got some old copy of OpenSSL being found somewhere...but I can't for the life of me tell where. The compile went fine (it found the OpenSSL 0.9.5a libraries that I had

OSSH 2.5.2p2: Why is /usr/local/ put into the include & lib p aths under Solaris?
But the main question hasn't been answered: Why is /usr/local placed before user-specified paths? Hypothetical example: You want to link against OpenSSL 0.96 for OpenSSH, but /usr/local contains 0.95, which is needed for something else. (Assume it comes binary only on Solaris for the sake of argument...) --Matt > -----Original Message----- > From: Damien Miller [mailto:djm at

Apologies for this interruption, but the .au government has passed some fairly idiotic laws recently that force me to make explicit that which (IMO) should be in the realm of the "bleeding obvious": ] Some legal jurisdictions (including Australia) have laws which treat ] email as intellectual property and allow for the possibility of legal ] action for unauthorised copying. ] ] If you

playing with smartcard: rsa key upload?
I began playing with smartcard support and enabled this in openssh-3.5p1 on linux. The -U (upload) option unfortunately doesn't work yet with ssh-keygen: $ ssh-keygen -U 0 Enter file in which the key is (/home/user/.ssh/id_rsa): key uploading not yet supported Is there a tool to upload an openssh rsa key to a smart card so that I can use it with ssh -I later on? Should I just upload it as a

Ext3-0.0.5b in Roswell installation?
Hi! I've upgraded my seawolf to ext3fs with the packages from Roswell (kernel, filesystem, mount, ....), but when doing 'tune2fs -j', it mentions 'Ext3fs version 0.0.5b'...? Isn't version 0.0.7a the latest?? Why isn't that version included in the Roswell kernel, but an older version is? And how can i upgrade my version of ext3fs? Thanks! Bart Verwilst
