Read-Only Model Attributes AFTER creation?
Howdy, I''m writing an ''edit profile'' screen. I was writing some tests first (yay!), and I realized that, if you were smart, you could use the edit form to change your username. I know I could use attr_protected on username, but that would still allow for usernames to be changed (abeit not through the form). How can I make the username read only AFTER the object has

Permission denied using mount.cifs
I'm having a strange problem mounting a share from a Windows 2003 server using cifs: mount.cifs //osirus.ficticious.org/inetpub /inetpub -ouser=transfer,pass=dkfhjdjskd It comes back immediately with: mount error 13 = Permission denied Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g.man mount.cifs) However, the command below works. (abeit with about a 15 second wait before it comes back):

rsa_private_decrypt() failed
Hello, I'm running several Sparcs with Solaris 2.7 on them. They all have Openssh 2.9 installed, and all work fine. Except one. Every once in a while I get this: "Disconnecting: Corrupted check bytes on input." When I truss or I am at the console I get this: "rsa_private_decrypt() failed" I've tried reinstalling with OpenSSH 2.5, 2.9 and the commercial versions.

[Fwd: SECURITY WARNING - possible email attack]
WARNING TO ALL - I just got what appears to be an infected Word document attachment via the list. The apparently forged headers look suspicious, too. Problem with user level security using [homes]
Hi, I've been trying to setup a "user" only access samba server for my customers to publish their websites through instead of ftp. We provide for many different networks that are in many domains that we don't own, so it seems the "user" security model is the only thing that would work for us. However, I've tried many different combinations of restrictions but I

changing INTERNALDATE or similar
I have a question which others must have encountered. I switched from uw-imap to dovecot-imap a few months ago and moved my fairly large mail archive (~15 yrs) by simply mounting both accounts in a mail app and simply copying my folders over. This worked well, and all my mail is in order when I view it in evolution or thunderbird on any number of machines. However, since our company uses MS

Sip exten matching based on contact: sip header?
Asterisk: 1.4.17 with sip realtime Openser 1.3.x Hi, I had this setup working fine until I try putting OpenSER in the picture as a proxy. Unauthenticated calls go to a PRI based app via a ZAP channel, calls to sip users get send to them etc. Now with a proxy in the picture asterisk asks the incoming calls for authentication "407 Proxy Authentication Required". It seems that the

Updated DNSSEC patch
I've updated my DNSSEC patch, available at ftp://ftp.tislabs.com/pub/fmeshd as openssh.[portable,openbsd].patch.20010712 The updates include a fix to correctly handle failure of the lookup methods and a new option to ssh-keygen to output the DNS format of the key. Both were supplied by Jakob Schlyter. I've also updated the style to conform better to openbsd's style(9). -- Wesley

Sorry for the long and confusing post, I'm pretty new to dovecot other than basic functionality. I recently in the last week went through the documentation

[PATCH] Add support for ldns
Hi, as discussed before, we're trying to make use of SSHFP records (RFC 4255) to publish host key fingerprints in the DNS. However, some non-OpenBSD platforms don't support DNSSEC in the native resolver (e.g. glibc), which renders the whole thing quite useless, since openssh correctly requires the RRs to be signed and validated. The following patch adds support for ldns, an external

Sims 3 and Microsoft.VC80.CRT
I had the Sims 3 working up until the town load section and was about to test something for Jeffz when something (I honestly don't know what) caused some breakage to do with the MS C++ libraries. Now when I try and run the game I get: Code: ben at xenith:~/Wine/Games/Sims3/Game/Bin$ wine TS3.exe fixme:ntoskrnl:KeInitializeTimerEx stub: 0x110f80 0 fixme:actctx:parse_depend_manifests Could

Nvidia Quadro 4 on CRT monitor: Frequency out of range...
Hello, I'm currently failing to install Linux to an older PC. It has a Nvidia Quadro 4 graphics adapter built in and is connected to a 21" CRT monitor. Shortly after the kernel started to boot, my screen says "Frequency out of range". Is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance Yours Manuel
