buildpkg.sh enhancements
I've made some changes to buildpkg.sh to make it easier for package
builders to add their local changes.
I'd like people that use buildpkg.sh to test and comment on these
changes before I commit them to CVS.
None of the defaults have changed.
Some of the patch is is just moving chunks of code to a different
location to make some of the enhancements work.

newly created package includes binaries, man pages, libraries and
Configuration files. I am planning to install this package in all of
my Sun server's (Approximately 200 Server's).
We have SSH/OpenSSH older version are already installed and running in

disregard RE: new syntax for autostart and repeat
So disregard this question. I followed Mason Hale''s suggestion that I pass
in some worker_args and all is well in the scheduler.yml file.

Problems building osox-src-2006-08-16 on x86_64 (dwarf data)
Hello,
Did anybody outside SUN tried to build xen-src (osox-src-2006-08-16)?
I had tried it on x86_64 machine.
I am running SXCR46 (I know
that it says that SXCR 44 is needed, but
I hope that this is a minimum requierment,
even that it doesn''t say it explicitly, and that SXCR 46 is also good.
BTW, Am I right in this ? )
; I ran "nightly opensolaris.sh &".

makepkg.sh for samba 3.0.20
Hi,
I downloaded 3.0.20 from samba.org, ran makepkg.sh to create
samba pkg for Solaris. The install base for the new version
locates in /opt/samba and the smbd locates in /etc/samba.
I tried to modify the makepkg.sh to put everything under
/usr/local/samba as follow:

Mount CD ROM iso during kickstart postinstall
CentOS 5.2 i386
I''m doing a xen virtual machine installation from a DVD iso image with a kickstart file to set network and run scripts and such in the postinstall section.
During the installation the DVD iso is listed as device /tmp/cdrom and mounted on /mnt/source. Once the installation is done and the post install starts the /tmp/cdrom

RMagick Instant Rails install problem
Anyone help with this?
Am running Instant Rails on Win XP Sp2. Have downloaded the
RMagick-win32-1.9.2 files into c:\Instant-Rails-1.0\temp from the
rubyforge site.
Running "Gem install RMagick-win32-1.9.2-mswin32.gem" from the temp
directory seems to work giving me a "Successfully installed
RMagick-win32, version 1.9.2" message.
However, when I then try and go

automated installation of puppet into solaris 10 zone after insta lling zone with puppet
I''ve built a puppet solaris - package which is distributed via jumpstart at
installation time of a solaris 10 machine.
It''s postinstallation registers the puppetd into smf and starts puppetd
afterwards. Puppetd connects to puppetmasterd, gets ist certificate signed
(autosig on) and the configuration stuff.
Now the interesting part: a new solaris zone is installed via puppet.

DISREGARD!! Broadvoice outgoing problems
... I just tried again after removing my hosts file entry (again) and
outbound is now working! I had taken it out before, but I think I was
getting a different error at the time.
Sometimes it seems like asking for help is itself a cure!
Thanks anyway!

ssh-rand-helper probs
Hi all
Am i doing this right? Is this the right list to post to? If not, a
quick lesson in ettiquette for me would not hurt. As I am both just
starting to use newsgroups and SSH, I am not entirely familiar with the
processes. I have a question about ssh-rand-helper. First an outline: I
am currently using the SSH packages for Solaris 2.8 available at
sunfreeware.com. The environment is

[LLVMdev] Usage of llvmc (Sorry. Please disregard the right above.)
Thank you so much for your reply, Chris.
If so, can I ask you two things more?
First, is there any way to have various optimizations on LLVM assembly such as -O options in llvmc?
llvm-gcc doesn't seem to be working for these -O options...
Second, I'm still not sure about difference between *.s and *.ll.
LLVM assembly *.s file can be made from llvm-gcc with -S option.

disregard email about plotting 2 time series
I found the problem. the date range was not exactly overlapping as i had
thought. If the range of the 2 time series exactly overlap, then the two
graphs overlay correctly. Unless there is another method or package that
fixes this, it seems that if the 2 time series have non-matching ranges
(even a small difference will cause a problem), then the 2 graphs do not
overlay correctly.

[PATCH] Add Solaris 'pkgadd' support scripts in contrib/solaris
All--
Attached is a tarball that has undergone some testing
here and appears to handle all reasonable cases.
The goal is to allow OpenSSH users to easily create
installable Solaris packages, which can be installed
using the native 'pkgadd' command. Comments
requested--it sure has helped things here. As always,
I would recommend caution if you're trying to
upgrade SSH while logged in
