Problem with user level security using [homes]
Hi, I've been trying to setup a "user" only access samba server for my
customers to publish their websites through instead of ftp. We
provide for many different networks that are in many domains that we
don't own, so it seems the "user" security model is the only thing that
would work for us.
However, I've tried many different combinations of restrictions but I

[jakob@crt.se: Re: [PATCH] Maildir support]
I don't think he's talking about mail server or clients here.
I think this needs some clairification. This really only effects
the $MAIL upon login. I've messed with this some, because it's caused
problems for me personally at work.
Here's the deal with an example:
If you do a configure, on a Solaris 2.7 box, and then build sshd, when you log
in you get this is you echo

R-beta: Sun native compiler SC2.0.1, R-0.62.x
Several multiple definition fatal errors occur compiling R-0.62.2 and more with
0.62.3 using the Sun native compiler SC2.0.1. Earlier versions of R did not
present the problem. It does not occur with gcc.
The problem lies in the SC2.0.1 library in sunmath.h which is not fully ANSI
compliant. The compiler, with appropriate options, compiles non-ANSI usages but
does not recognize alternatives as

cross compilation?
../openssh-3.1p1/configure --host=mips-linux --build=i686-linux --with-pam
does not work.
It selects the correct toolchain prefix, but the configure script bails
on cross-compilation.
Attached is a patch that *might* make the right paranoid assumptions,
but I am not positive.

ssh1 keyexchange problem ?
Hi,
Has anybody produced diffs for openssh-2.3.0p1 for the rsa keyexchange
problem that Core-SDI described ? ( I noticed that fix is already
in openbsd tree ).

configure / linking problem when using hdf5
I've installed hdf5 [library & includes] here locally, last week.
[see ?hdf5save in R]
There is a remaining compilation / linking problem for me:
The hdf5 library uses "compress2" a routine defined in Gnu's zlib,
but not available in the zlib that comes with X11R6.3 (which we have installed).
Now unfortunately,

openssh-1.2.2 with openssl-0.9.5 rsa problem
Hello...
to openssh-unix-dev at mindrot.org
cc djm at ibs.com.au
devel platform: linux intel redhat 6.2beta
http://violet.ibs.com.au/openssh/files/openssh-1.2.2.tar.gz from rpm at
same.
I am NOT subscribed to the openssh-unix-dev list.
I ran into a problem using openssh-1.2.2 with openssl-0.9.5. With
openssl 0.9.5 you can now compile shared libraries without idea, rc5 and
rsa.

I used to have endless trouble with __pow_ii which as I recall could be be
fixed by the correct incantation of the mix of compiler libraries and
LD_LIBRARY_PATH. It seemed to be extremely sensitive and never easy to get
right. The problem is

Now when I run configure for R-0.65 I get the following message:

OpenSSH 2.1.0+OpenSSL 0.9.5a+RSAref 2.0 trouble
Hello.
I have been having trouble configuring the source code for the
abovementioned. I have to use RSARef as I'm a resident of the USA, so I
can avoid patent violation.
The configure script fails to see the OpenSSL+RSAref mix on three
different platforms, including the following:
FreeBSD 4.0-STABLE (Which has its own port, but I wanted to try it there

in.tftpd not responding when listening on 255.255.255.255
I've got in.tftpd configured on a Fedora Linux server. The service is
configured to boot printersm and sun sparcs. The printers boot fine, but
there's a problem with the sparcs.
When the sparc sends an initial request for a file, in.tftpd forks a
process to handle it. If I do a "netstat -pan | grep tftp" I see that
this forked process is listening on local address
