FW: poor permissions on ssh binary
-----Original Message----- From: Loomis, Rip Sent: Tuesday, 19 June, 2001 09:10 To: 'geoff at raye.com' Subject: RE: poor permissions on ssh binary Geoff-- You stated that you consider it "a poor choice of permissions" to install the ssh binary as mode 0711. Since it will run perfectly with even more restrictive permissions (we typically install it mode 0511 here), what is

[PATCH] Maildir support
Hi! Here is a patch against openssh-2.9.p2 that adds support for Maildir style mailboxes, the way which qmail prefers to store mails in. The changes/additions are the following: 1) $MAIL env. variable is set to $HOME/Maildir if it exists, or else to _PATH_MAIL/$USER. 2) Mail checking (the main purpose of this patch) is done by first checking whether $MAIL is a regular file or directory. Dear R help I have a question on the variance of the binomial probit model. I have fitted the following model : > lmer1<-lmer(mp ~ l + op + l*op+ us_lev + bw_lev +(1|tatu) , + family = binomial(link="probit"), + method = 'Laplace', + data = matings, + msVerbose= True) > summary(lmer1) Generalized linear

openssh 5.0p1: Solaris - Failed to allocate internet-domain X11 display socket.
On Solaris 10 (SPARC & x86), I'm seeing the following error: error: Failed to allocate internet-domain X11 display socket. [LLVMdev] [llvmdev] Specifying / modeling copying semantics in more detail
Dear All, I've had a lot of progress on my 6502 family target, but I've hit a bit of a stumbling block wherein some passes inadvertently cause malformed final instruction listings. It's not necessarily llvm's fault, though. An example: %a<def> = COPY %w04 asl_a_16_once %a<imp-def>, %n_flag<imp-def,dead>, %z_flag<imp-def,dead>,

[PATCH] document inability to change v2 keys' comments with ssh-keygen
Hi, ssh-keygen is unable to change version 2 keys' comments (this was true in 2.9p2, and the changelog doesn't make me think this has changed), so I think this should be documented. Here's a patch to ssh-keygen.1 (It's based on an ssh-keygen patched with my previous patch). Cheers, Matthew --- ssh-keygen.1.orig Thu Sep 27 20:31:48 2001 +++ ssh-keygen.1 Thu Sep 27 20:40:32 2001

Patch to add scp -L option
Here is a patch to scp made against openssh-2.1.1p2 that adds the -L option to scp. The -L option tells scp to use nonprivilaged ports (by passing ssh the -P option). The non-free ssh's scp has this option, and it is required under some firewall setups (like mine) for scp to function. Please let me know if there are any problems with this patch, or if there is anything I can do to help get

[llvm] r322838 - [ADT] Split optional to only include copy mechanics and dtor for non-trivial types.
That's an unintentional change. However, the reason for this change was to make optional of trivially copyable types trivially copyable, adding a user-provided move ctor would break that again :( I'm leaning towards making the non-trivial version of llvm::Optional more like std::optional. In the long term std::optional is going to replace llvm::Optional. How bad would that be for your use

Plugin Panic! - no accessing a model''s class methods?
Hi plugin-authors. So this is a little bit of take two on this question, but why can''t I access a singleton on the model calling my plugin? The crux of the full plugin below is: #logger.info self.class.to_s new_copy = self.class.new( @copyable_attributes ) the logger spits out "Datatype", but I get an error from rails saying: undefined method `datatype'' for

[LLVMdev] LLVM 2.4 problem? (resend)
Hi, I don't know enough C to know for certain if this is a programmer or compiler error: In a Objective-C source file I have: . static const char sessionEntriesKVO = ' '; .
