All,
How can I get at the daily snapshots?
When I go to the website, www.openssh.com, and follow the Linux

http://bass.directhit.com/openssh_snap/, I get prompted for a user id
and password. Needless to say, I ain't got.
That's real useful. Use to be, I could get the snapshots from
the ftp site. Then things

Problems with sftp under SCO OpenServer
Hello,
I compiled OpenSSH 2.5.1p1 for SCO OpenServer 5.0.5, HPUX B.11.00, and
SunOS 5.7. When I sftp into the HP or Sun box, everything works fine.
However, whenever I sftp into the OpenServer box, all remote filenames
are shown as "(null)". File sizes, owners, etc. display properly. This
behavior is exhibited from all origination points.
OpenSSH was configured with identical

How to set minimum size of accepted rsa key
Hi eveyone,
Is there a way to set the minimum size accepted by sshd as an RSA public
key?
I want to restrict users to using RSA keys that are generated with
ssh-keygen -b 2048 or greater.
I didn't see any option in sshd_config. There is a ServerKeyBits option,
but that seems to apply only for SSHv1.
Please help me and provide your response. Thanks in advance.

Can anyone tell me what to include or change in my 'smb.conf' files to
enable anyone accessing a 'SAMBA' server share to have '777' permissions for
directories, and '666' permissions on files they create, move or copy there?
I have two SAMBA servers running; one on an IRIX machine and the other on a

Hello Guy''s
I want to thank everyone out there that has given me there input on using
xen. I want to ask what you give close to native speed when you using linux
as a domU. Would pv be faster then Hardware virtualization using xen or
paravirtual is faster because it works with xen kenern in a dom0? Just let

far end disconnect supervision
I'm starting to shop for my first channel bank and one of the features
that eveyone seems to recommend is "far end disconnect supervision".
What other terms do various manufactures use to describe this same
feature ?
Is "calling party disconnect" the same as "far end disconnect
supervision" ?
Thanks

Lets try this push again.. 2.5.1p2 bugs left.
Things that are still outstanding:
1) Solaris/Redhat/HPUX session.c patch. I've not seen a ya or na on
Kevin's pam patch from the Solaris group.
2) Odd Redhat/Debian scp/ssh issues. .. I'm baffled, and I can't
replicate the bug. Nor have I seen anything remotely like it reported.
3) SCO.. Is it happy yet for compiling? =)
Completed:
1) mdoc2man.pl .. Commited into

New snapshot
I have just uploaded a new snapshot to:
http://www.mindrot.org/misc/openssh/openssh-SNAP-20001114.tar.gz
This snapshot includes Markus Friedl's new SSH2 RSA authentication work
and -R portforwarding for SSH2. Please give these a good test.
The new RSA authentications works similar to the current SSH2 DSA keys,
but requires a little modification to config files. Currently RSA
